Once you work through this free monkey printable, keep going with more learning fun! Here are some other ways that you can learn even more!
Have the kids draw a monkey habitat
Give directions to draw a monkey habitat. Some simple steps to have them follow could be:
Start with the Jungle
Draw tall trees with big, leafy tops—monkeys love to climb! Add some vines hanging between the branches for swinging fun.
Add the Ground
Monkeys sometimes hang out below, so draw a patchy jungle floor. Add grass, rocks, or even a little stream for drinking water.
Would you like to save this?
Get Creative with Details
Draw some bananas hanging from the trees (monkeys’ favorite snack!). Add birds, butterflies, or colorful flowers to make the habitat lively.
Don’t Forget the Monkey!
Now, draw your monkey buddy! Put him swinging from a vine, sitting in the tree, or munching on a banana.
Color it In
Use greens for the trees, browns for the branches, and splash in some bright colors for flowers and the monkey’s fur.
Talk about seeing monkeys at the zoo
Seeing monkeys at the zoo is always a blast! They’re playful and energetic, swinging from ropes and climbing trees like little acrobats. Have you ever noticed how they use their hands—and even their tails—to hang on? It’s so cool!
Sometimes, you’ll catch them munching on fruit or just lounging around with their monkey buddies. If you’re lucky, you might see a baby monkey clinging to its mom, which is super cute.
And those silly sounds they make? That’s their way of chatting!
Make silly monkey noises
Make it a family affair! Can you make your best monkey noises? Try a big, loud “OOO-OOO-AAA-AAA!” Now, how about a tiny baby monkey squeak?
Maybe even some funny “eh-eh-eh” chatter! Swing your arms like you’re climbing vines, too, and you’re making the noise!
