What is the learning benefit of this Color by Beginning Sound printable?

I love that the pages offer multiple ways to learn! The kids can see pictures, say the word, and then figure out the color they need to use.

This way, they’re working on identification, listening, vocabulary, and fine motor skills with coloring.

You can also use this to work on letter learning and color identification. Each page holds tons of learning resources!

Fun ways to use this printable:

Once their learning confidence is high from working through this alphabet printable, it’s time for more fun ideas.

Here are a few fun ways to branch out and try something new with the kids.

Work on writing out sight words

Writing new sight words with your kids can be fun and interactive to boost their learning! Grab some colorful markers, crayons, or even finger paints to make it exciting—who doesn’t love a little splash of color? Encourage your child to say each word aloud as they write it, and cheer them on enthusiastically.

You can even turn it into a game by challenging them to write the word in their favorite “fancy” handwriting or create fun sentences using the new words.

Not only does this make learning engaging, but it also helps those words stick like glue in their memory!

Draw pictures that start with various alphabet letters

Grab some crayons, markers, or colored pencils, and pick a letter—say, “A” for apple. Ask the kids to think of other things that start with “A” (airplane, alligator, ant!) and then draw them together.

You can even turn it into a guessing game or a mini-art show once you’re done! It’s a fantastic way to boost their creativity while helping them learn their ABCs.
