Question 1

Do I thaw the portions first?

Accepted Answer

I use mine straight from frozen. Add them at the point where the recipe calls for the blend and let the vegetables cook through.

Question 2

How much is one seasoning-blend muffin?

Accepted Answer

It is one portion from a regular-sized muffin well. The vegetable amount depends on the pan and how full you make each portion. I haven't supplied a measured cup equivalent.

Question 3

Why do you add water?

Accepted Answer

I add enough to make the vegetables hold together when frozen. Use a small amount rather than turning each well into a large block of ice.

Question 4

Can I use a bag of store-bought frozen seasoning blend?

Accepted Answer

Check its ingredients to see whether it contains the vegetables your recipe needs. My Impossible Taco Pie already gives a one-cup frozen-blend substitution for its two muffins. That note applies to that recipe; it is not a measured conversion for every muffin portion.
