Product Features

  • MaxExtract DualV Nozzle Technology pulls up more dirty water so your floors dry fast and you will be back to living on your deep cleaned floors quickly.
  • Pressurized edge to edge cleaning gives you a wall of pressurized water that loosens and lifts stubborn stains with a constant and relentless spray
  • Spinscrub Technology with 60 counter rotating brushes engineered to surround carpet fibers, removing dirt at every angle
  • Auto conversion tools conveniently positioned right at your finger tips
  • Smart Tanks System gives you separate tanks for clean and dirty water, so you can easily fill, empty, and rinse each tank individually

Pros:

1.  Really does a better job drying than other carpet cleaners out there.  Hoover

2.  Since it is an upright, it doesn’t take up too much space in my cleaning closet and is easy to pull out even for the smallest spills!

3.  The dirty water bin is super easy to remove and carry!  The liquids pour right out and the top half comes off to make clean up a breeze.

Cons:

1.  It leaks a little.  When you finish cleaning and extracting the fluids from your carpet, the system drips some of the water back out upon power down.  It is a bit frustrating to have that line of fluid.  It isn’t a ton and not a major deal, but it is something that needs working on by Hoover.

2.  It is HEAVY (a bit less than 30 pounds)!  If it were self-propelled, it would be much easier to do.  So, I have to do a small amount of carpet at a time because my arm just plain gives out!

Before and After Photo of the carpet at my front door:

Before and after photo of something really thick (thought it was glue) spilled on my new couch… you can see it is still wet.  The moisture didn’t come out as easily with the hand tool as it did with the complete system.  But, overall I was impressed.

Yes, I was HIGHLY impressed and will be recommending this Carpet Cleaner until something better comes along… which might be a VERY long time!

“I received a sample of this product to facilitate my review, but my opinions are entirely my own.

  3. I’ve been looking into carpet cleaning machines, and the Hoover Max Extract 60 is one their best rated models. From your review, it sounds like the machine does a really good job. The leakage problem, I’ve also heard from others. I think Hoover did release a newer model over that past year that appears to be address that. Great to hear your personal experience.
