Dear Verizon, What Do I Do Now? #VZWA

7045259109 3be8ff886a Dear Verizon, What Do I Do Now? #VZWA

I am just devastated right now!  I have been through so much with my RAZR, Verizon Service, and XYBoard and am going to miss it all tremendously!

  • It was there when I had my surgery!
  • It was there when I got super sick and couldn’t move from the bed for days!
  • It was there when I had questions about my son’s weird rash!
  • It was there when I quit smoking <– ha! You didn’t know I did that!  I have been nicotine free for almost 7 weeks now!
  • It was there to entertain me at the hospital when everyone left me alone to “rest” but I had rested so much that I just wanted company!
  • It was there to help me find all the Walmart stores across the Bay and help me get to them for my Walmart Tour!

3 months ago, I was chosen to be a Verizon Wireless Ambassador and my time has almost come to an end!  I will have to go back to my prepaid service (which is actually pretty good because it uses Verizon towers) and my old phone! Isn’t that depressing?

Ok ok, lets look on the bright side..

1.  I will be back to a local number, so my mom can call me without having to pay long distance.

2.  Since it will be my old number, I will actually know it.  I will no longer have to call people so they can save my number in their phone.  I will be able to just tell them.

3.  I will spend more time talking to my kids instead of playing on my phone and XYBoard.

4.  I won’t have to worry about my husband being jealous of my toys anymore.

5.  I won’t feel like I need to check my email and My Country (oooh fun game) and my Twitter and my Facebook just “one more time” before putting down my XYBoard for bed.

6.  I won’t be awakened at the crack of dawn by a super loud Rooster in my right ear anymore <– LOVE the rooster sound for the alarm, but man it is really loud.  Sounds like Big Red is sitting on your nightstand crowing away!

7.  I will lose weight because I will have to actually get up to change the television <– yes, the XYBoard can also be configured to be a universal remote!  Cool, right?

8.  I will build muscle because instead of just toting 2 super slim, light weight items around I now have to take my camera, fat cellphone, netbook computer, personal day planner, notebook and pen for note taking, kindle for reading, Sudoku book for a quick timewaster, mirror to check my makeup, map to help me get around town, and video camera.

9.  I get to go shopping to buy a new purse to carry all of those things.  No, I didn’t need them before, but I have spent 3 moths enjoying all that stuff on my XYBoard and RAZR phone!

10.  Oh, I won’t have to worry about people using me for my wireless hotspot anymore. wlEmoticon smile3 Dear Verizon, What Do I Do Now? #VZWA

So yeah, I think I should crawl in my bed and play on my electronics for the next several days! wlEmoticon smile3 Dear Verizon, What Do I Do Now? #VZWA

Menu Plan Monday: Shopping and Scrapbooking

I am sitting at a Days Inn in Gulfport, Mississippi writing this post at 6:15 in the morning.  Yes, I am on vacation and I didn’t even sleep in!  Why?  It is actually very simple… I could not sleep!  This hotel room is a bit shoddy and the beds are super uncomfortable.  Seriously, this Days Inn makes me want to write a review that isn’t extremely good. LOL! We will be here for four nights, so I will see how the rest of it goes before deciding.  It is actually pretty funny, this is the second Days Inn that I have stayed at in 2010 and both times were horrible!  On their website, the #1 reason to book with them says, “Satisfaction Guarantee” and I have never been satisfied. ROTFL!

So, I have already said that I am here for four nights, so I can imagine that you are wondering why I am bothering to write a menu plan. I am because I am trying to get back into the habit of doing it each month.

Monday:  Leftover Pizza – we ordered pizza last night because we got ready to leave the room and found that our door wouldn’t shut all the way.  That was AFTER the maintenance man came to fix it because you could barely open it.  Obviously, we couldn’t leave with all our stuff in our room and a door that wouldn’t shut.  Domino’s was super quick and yummy and we have an entire pizza left over.

Tuesday:  I am hoping to talk them into going to Chick-fil-a because it is my favorite fast food restaurant.

Wednesday:  Probably Chili’s because mom’s exchange student has never eaten there.

Thursday: HOME!  I would love to have BBQ Chicken, Potato Salad, and Corn but it will depend on what time I get home.

Friday:  Something and quick, like finger foods… Maybe Rotel Dip

New Year’s Day:  We will be having dinner at Mom’s house and we only have to bring Cabbage, so this is a pretty easy one.

Hey KraftFoods, Chicago is My Kind of Town

*Frank Sinatra recorded several versions which have appeared on many of his albums. Also, many artists have performed the song as a tribute to Sinatra in posthumous tribute albums. In addition, the song had been recorded by many other artists prior to Sinatra’s death. The lyrics, which praise the city of Chicago for its people and institutions, repeat the phrase My Kind of Town several times, usually in a line that says “My kind of town, Chicago is”

That’s right, I am headed back to the The Windy City and I am badgev2 Hey KraftFoods, Chicago is My Kind of Townsuper excited!  The last time I went to Chicago was for the International Home and Housewares Show, this time I am going to Kraft Kitchens!  Not only will I get to meet some of the other Delicious Byte Bloggers, but they have some pretty interesting things planned during our 24-hour stay in Chicago:

  • Hot Topic Informational Sessions (hmm, sounds important)
  • Hands-on Cooking Demonstrations (OMG, I am a bit nervous about cooking in front of other people! Besides, can I do it without kids and a dog underfoot? Guess we will find out very soon.)
  • Sneak Peek at New Products (whoo hoo!)
  • Roundtable Discussion (they want to hear from me and my readers!)
  • and Lunch at Kraft Kitchens! (How cool is this?)

Are you excited, yet?  Think of the things I am going to be able to tell you upon my return.  Plus, think of the pictures I am hoping to be able to share. icon smile Hey KraftFoods, Chicago is My Kind of Town

Do you have anything you would like for me to discuss with KraftFoods?  Ideas? Opinions?  Things you would like to see on my blog?  Clue me in and I will add them to my notebook of questions and thoughts.  They are putting a lot of time and money into this event and I would love to make it worth it.  Plus, I want to write about things that ACTUALLY interest my readers so they (YOU!) read and respond. icon smile Hey KraftFoods, Chicago is My Kind of Town

So, don’t be surprised to not hear a peep out of me through Monday and Tuesday as I will be slightly busy. I will have my gift guides scheduled as well as a few tweets during my time.  I spent some time today figuring out how to Tweet, update FaceBook, and check in with FourSquare through my boring, non-smart phone.  I learned that all of it can be done via text message, so you might be seeing some on location stuff from me during that time, but don’t expect responses until I return home or during air travel. icon smile Hey KraftFoods, Chicago is My Kind of Town

For fun, here is a list of the bloggers that will be in attendance:

  2. Barb of Blogfully
  3. Brandy of Not So Average Mama
  4. Danielle of Home Ever After
  5. Elizabeth of Busy Mom

  8. Jennifer of The Dirty Shirt
  9. Jessi of Jabbering Jessi **

  11. Kim of Mommy Knows
  12. Liz of This Full House

Menu Plan Monday: SUPER Busy Week

Yep, I have another super busy week.  Where am I going to find the time to get everything done that needs to be done so that I can go out of town?  Yes, I am going out of town AGAIN.  This time, though, it is just me.  Mom and I are taking her exchange student on a girls’ weekend.  It will be fun, but in the meantime, I am stressed.  In addition to trying to get some blog posts scheduled, ending the giveaways, contacting winners, wading through my overflowing inboxes, I have to be at the airport several days this week to meet arriving exchange students!

Anyway, enough about all the crazy things I have allowed to go on my schedule. LOL!  Let’s get down to my menu plan.  I am so ready for school to start!  I function so much better when my family is on a schedule!

MondayKelli’s Spaghetti

Tuesday – Italian Meatloaf (didn’t get to it last week) and Potatoes and Cheese

WednesdayZesty Stir Fry

ThursdayGirl Scout Stew

Friday – Leftovers (between the spaghetti, meatloaf, and girl scout stew; the boys should have plenty to fill them up)
