Add the roll mix and the yeast to a bowl. Add the hot water, 1 egg, and butter. Stir using a fork or your hands to make the dough. You might need to add more flour as needed.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a couple of minutes.
Place the dough in a bowl and cover it with a clean towel. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Divide the dough into thirds and roll each piece into a rope.
Braid the ropes and then roll them into a circle. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Crack and scramble the last egg in a bowl, then brush it onto the braided dough using a pastry brush.
Add the sliced almonds and kosher salt.
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the bread rest for 5 minutes. Serve.
