Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add parchment paper to baking sheets.
Cream the butter and sugar together with a mixer.
Mix in the egg & molasses.
Once mixed, stir in the spices and salt.
Then add the flour, one cup at a time, and stir after each cup.
Be careful and add only the flour until it's pulling away from the side of the bowl and forming a ball.
Roll the dough out on a floured surface. It should be about 1/4 inch thick. (you can use cookie cutters and cut out shapes if you want)
Bake in the oven for 8-9 minutes. Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for 4-5 minutes, and then move them to a cooling rack.
