box white cake mix

cream soda

cream soda syrup 1/2 cup boiled down

Instructions
Preheat oven to 325F and line a muffin tray with cupcake liners.
Place your cream soda in a saucepan and place over medium high heat. Cook until the volume of the cream soda is reduced by half, about 20 minutes.
Add the cream soda to the white cake mix and stir to combine, being careful not to overmix.
Portion out the cake by 1/3 cup into the muffin liners and bake 18-22 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on a baking rack as you prepare the frosting.
Blend the butter, cream soda syrup and icing sugar, adding in more icing sugar or cream to achieve your desired consistency.
Frost the cupcakes and add additional syrup as garnish, optional.
