Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add parchment paper to a bread pan.
Add the sugar and egg to a mixing bowl and whisk.
Add the vegetable oil, milk, and pumpkin puree, then whisk until smooth.
Add the baking soda, cinnamon, salt, flour, and other spices. Fold them together using a spatula. Don't overmix.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan.
Put the pan in the oven on the bottom rack with parchment paper covering the top of the loaf. Once 30 minutes have passed, take off the parchment paper, then bake for another 30-35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. (you can also top it with aluminum foil)
Grab a clean bowl and melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together. Melt in 30-second spurts, stirring between each one.
After the bread has baked, let it cool down for 15 minutes.
Once cooled, remove the bread from the pan by lifting the edges of the parchment paper.
Place it on a plate and drizzle with the melted chocolate.
