If you don’t preheat, and you just toss your brownie batter in the oven, it’s likely that the baking powder won’t activate and the brownies won’t rise.
Always spray your baking pan with cooking spray just before you pour the batter.
If you’re into adding things on top of brownies, you could add a drizzle of chocolate ganache, peanut butter or even mint frosting over the top of these brownies, before baking.
