Ingredients
1poundof fresh Strawberries
8 - 10sprigs of fresh Thyme
½Cup(s)of freshly squeezed Lemon Juicethis is about big lemons
½Cup(s)of Sugar
¼teaspoonof salt
1+ 4 cups of cold water
sliceof strawberryThyme Sprigs and Lemon wedges for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Bring the sugar and 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan. Do this over medium heat. Make sure that you're stirring to dissolve the sugar. Once done take off the heat and add in the thyme leaves. This needs to steep for 30 minutes or more. Once done let it cool to room temp.
Clean and take the stems off the strawberries. (saveabout 6 strawberries for later) Chop up the rest of the strawberries.
Put the thym syrup, chopped strawberries, salt, lemon juice, and another cup of water in the blender. Blend on high for a few minutes.
