Mermaid Muddy Buddy Recipe

- ⅓ Cup(s) each of Purple Blue, Turquoise, and Lime Green candy melts
- ½ Cup(s) of powdered sugar per color listed above
- ¼ tsp of Blue Purple, Leaf Green, and Turquoise (1/8 tsp of Leaf Green and 1/8 tsp of Blue) powdered food coloring
- 8 Cup(s) of Chex cereal any type
Instructions
- Take 1/3 cup of the blue candy melts and put in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt it at 1/2 power for 30 seconds, stir. Repeat until melted. (watch carefully as it will burn!)
- Repeat the same process for all the colored candy melts.
- Once done, add in 2 cups of Chex in a bowl. Pour the melted candy melts onto the cereal. Mix until coated.
- Use 1/2 cup of the powdered sugar and put it in a ziplock bag. Add in 1/8 tsp of blue food powder coloring, mix. Do this for all the colors.
- Take the coated cereal and put it into the bag with sugar. Close and shake well.
- Line a baking pan with wax paper and pour out the cereal mixture.
- Repeat this process for all colors.
- Let the Chex mix dry before combining all the colors. You can then add in sprinkles for fun.
