You can use old hardcover books you have at home or grab some from Dollar Tree to keep costs low on this project. Remove the dust jackets if they are still on and toss them.
I wanted something a little warmer than white so I painted my books with several coats of a very light blue that I mixed myself from a royal blue and white. Be sure to let them dry between each coat.
After you give your book covers a nice coat or two of blue take the same foam brush while the last coat is still damp and dry brush some white over the books to give a frosted look, drip some white paint from the corners too so it looks like snow is settling. Allow the paint to dry completely.
Wrap one end of the book in snowflake ribbon, I picked up this burlap one at Dollar Tree. Slightly overlap on the bottom and secure with hot glue.
Cut letters the same size or slightly smaller than the width of your books in Cricut Design Space, the font I used here was Christiany that I downloaded from dafont.com.
Peel back the excess vinyl from your lettering, don’t forget to weed out the blank space in letters such as o’s and a’s.
Apply transfer tape to your letters and rub them with the scraper tool to be sure that they stick then peel off transfer tape.
