One can cream cheese frosting

stick of room temperature unsalted butter

tbsp
maple syrup
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the brown sugar and butter, and cream until it is fluffy.
Add the molasses and also eggs.
Mix the baking powder, flour, salt, baking soda, and spices. Add the water and mix until combined well.
Put the mixture 2/3 of the way full into the cupcake liners.
Bake for 18-20 minutes. Check them around the 15-minute timer. Let the cupcakes cool before adding frosting.
To make the frosting, mix the cream cheese frosting and one stick of butter, plus 1 T of maple syrup. Beat together until it is fluffy.
Add to the cupcakes, add toppings, and enjoy.
