Cupids Bow Valentine Cupcakes

Ingredients
- White cake mix + ingredients listed
- ¼ teaspoon of pink gel food coloring
Buttercream Frosting Ingredients:
- ½ Cup(s) of softened unsalted butter
- 2 Cup(s) of confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon of milk
Decorations:
- 12 pretzel sticks
- ½ Cup(s) of pink candy melts
- 4-5 ounces of red rolling fondant
Instructions
- Make cake mixture via box directions and add in pink coloring.
- Put mixture into cupcake liners in the tin and bake according to box directions.
- Let cool before decorating. As the cupcakes are cooling, it's time to make the frosting.
- Beat the butter, sugar, and milk with a mixer. Start low and increase to high.
- Once the frosting is a bit stiff, put it into a piping bag with a #21 Wilton tip attached.
- Put the frosting on the cupcakes.
- Line a baking pan with wax paper and roll out the fondant until it's nice and smooth.
- Make 24 spheres about an inch in size.
- To make a heart, put the two spheres together with a point on the end. Do this to make 12 hearts.
- Put the pretzels on a pan. Melt the pink candy melts in a bowl in the microwave in 30-second intervals and stir in between each time.
- Once melted, pour into a piping bag and cut out the tip.
- Make two v-shapes on every pretzel stick and let harden for about 20 minutes.
- Put one pretzel in each cupcake and then add a heart.
