⅓Cup(s)brown sugar
1 ½teaspoonsbaking powder
½teaspoonsalt
½Cup(s)buttercold and cubed
⅔Cup(s)milk
1teaspoonsugar mixed with ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
1.Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees. As your oven is heating, grease a 9X13 baking dish using nonstick cooking spray. 2.Next, take a large bowl and mix in the sugar, apples, brown sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Once you have it all added, toss around to make certain that it's all coated and then let it rest for 5 minutes. 3.Use a different bowl and mix together the sugar, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt. 4.Once you have that added, take and add in the butter and then blend it all together with a pastry blender. You'll want the mixture to look like sand. 5.Next, take and add in your milk. Stir it until it softens up and a dough starts to form. 6.Next, take and dump in the apple mixture into the sprayed baking dish. Put the dough on the top of the apples and try to make it as even as possible. Then, put sugar and cinnamon mixture on top of that. 7.Put in the oven and bake for 45-55 minutes of time. The crust should be golden brown and the filling should be bubbling. 8.Make certain to let it cool before dishing up and serving.
