Valentine Sugar Cookie Popcorn Recipe

This Valentine’s Day Sugar Cookie Popcorn recipe is the perfect sweet and salty snack for you and your sweetheart this sweethearts day.

Ingredients – Popped popcorn – White chocolate chips – Large marshmallows – Pillsbury ready to bake sugar cookie dough OR 5-6 large sugar cookies, crushed – Pink sugar crystals – Valentine sprinkles

Instructions 1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Cut 5-6 (1 inch) slices out of the cookie dough roll and place on the lined cookie sheet.

2. Flatten the dough with the bottom of a glass to help the dough spread out. (I used a heart cookie cutter to make heart shapes but you can also just leave them as is).

3. Sprinkle with pink sugar crystals and bake according to package directions. Once cooled, crush the sugar cookies into crumbs and set aside.

4. Add the white chocolate chips and marshmallows to a medium microwave safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir.  Continue to microwave in 15 second increments until completely melted and smooth.

5. Add the popcorn to a large mixing bowl and pour the melted white chocolate and marshmallow mixture on top of the popcorn. Immediately sprinkle with the crushed sugar cookies and the valentine sprinkles.

6. Toss to coat and spread the popcorn out evenly on a cookie sheet and allow to “set” for about 10 minutes. 7. Break the popcorn into bite-size pieces and ENJOY!
