As a former teacher, I know how important visual perception and visual processing skills are to growing minds. I value games that help strengthen and sharpen those skills as they are two that carry over into reading and math as a student attempts to make sense of print and various math problems. I love the company Thinkfun for the very reason that their games are not only fun and engaging, but they always also offer players the chance to work on these skills and more. I recently reviewed three of their games (2 from their newest lineup) and I am delighted to share them with all of you!
With the regular Rush Hour and Rush Hour Jr. being very popular and a bestseller for Thinkfun games, I am thrilled they came up with yet another version with the Rush Hour Shift… one that allows for two players! In this game, escaping before your opponent is the goal. Every move counts in this race to cross traffic. Players use visual strategy to either advance your own Hero Car or block your opponent. The potential moves are endless and the shifting Traffic Grid adds a whole new dimension to play. Talk about utilizing visual processing skills- the shift takes this game to an entirely new level…literally!
Where will your mind and eyes take you in your Thinkfun game?
