My Thoughts: My son has really gotten into playing with Sadie Girl this summer. He decided that he wanted to teach her to set, lay, shake, and fetch. Keep in mind he is 6 and don’t realize just how challenging training a dog is. Let alone a dog that is an adult. I have been trying to teach him the responsibility of owning a pet, so I decided I would let him do this on his own. He tried one day and no luck at all. He came in that evening and mentioned to me; “Mom I really think I need to give Sadie Girl a reward when she does good. Then she will want to do it more.” The next day he went out all prepared with his Bil Jac snacks a.k.a the award. After about two hours of being outside he came and proudly announced that Sadie Girl will not set on command. The moral of the story is you got to try hard and every now and then a nice yummy treat is deserved for working hard. Sadie Girl loved her Bil Jac treats so much that she (even at her old age) was willing to set on command over and over just to get another treat. Now from my point of view these treats come in a perfect pouch (that is resealable) so you can easily take them on the road for the office or road trips. We like to get snacks when we are on the road so why not give our four legged friend one as well!
