Educational Spider Life Cycle Handwriting and Coloring Pages
Check out these Spider Life Cycle Handwriting and Coloring Pages. Male spiders and female spiders are so interesting and we all know how cool it is to watch a spider spin its web. (not too mention seeing the discovery that they have the capability to lay thousands of eggs!)
Don’t forget to pair this spider species learning printable up with this Ocean Studies Unit to enhance the kids full of knowledge.
Just between you and me, spiders are really pretty cool. I love learning where spiders live, how they have the spider eggs in their egg sacs, and learn about what spiders eat as well. (That might just be me, but I think they’re pretty interesting!)

Fun ways to use this printable:
There are actually quite a few fun ways that you and your child can use this printable. Below you’ll find some simple ideas to implement. (and feel free to add your own ideas – these are merely just simple suggestions!)
I’m a big fan of using something as a launching pad to explore more learning opportunities. And even though these Spider Life Cycle Handwriting and Coloring Pages might be geared toward the younger crowd, that doesn’t mean that you can’t talk to the older kids in your household about more advanced topics like mating rituals for spiders and how they tend to die after mating. (definitely more advanced but still some really cool facts about spiders!)
Work on their handwriting and spelling
Some kids aren’t aware of how certain words are spelled so these printables can cover that and help with their printing as well.
You can then branch off and add in more words and help to increase their spider knowledge that way.
Pair up the printables with a fun activity
The fact that spiders have 8 legs is pretty cool in itself! Talk about how the spiders might use each of those legs and then see if the kids can get down on the floor and move around like a spider does!
Go on a spider scavenger hunt
Once they color and write out the words, why note head out the door and see if you can find any spider in the outside world? Not only is it fun but it’s a good way to move their bodies, too.
You might also be able to find some spiders in your house as well but they kiddos may not find that quite as exciting as seeing them outside.
