Shark Week Books for Kids {Ocean Animals Unit Study}

Sharing is caring!

As part of our ocean animals unit study, we are reading all about Shark Week Books for Kids.  Reading lots and LOTS of books.

If you’re a fan of Shark Week, these Shark books are going to be a great way to add in even more shark fun. Just gather them up and sit down and enjoy. I’m always amazed at how people really love the idea of Sharks but don’t know a ton of knowledge or information about them.

These books about sharks combine some fun and facts for all to enjoy.

Even though sharks are quite the creatures to imagine in the ocean, there are many facts that people just don’t know. This is where these books come into play. They’re great for learning more about sharks and understanding their roles in the ocean as well.

Using books as a way to educate yourself and your children more are what it’s all about! Since Shark Week is here, it seemed like a great time to learn some awesome shark facts and little stories involving sharks with this set of books.

Are sharks blind?

Studies have shown that their eyes filter light and movement a certain way and there is a strong possibility that sharks may be colorblind as well.

Why do sharks’ eyes turn white?

This is one of the ways that they protect their eyes when feeding, just in case something were to poke their eye, etc.
