I didn’t know about Peaceable Kingdom before, but now I do!
About Peaceable Kingdom (from their website)
“Since 1983 Peaceable Kingdom has created fresh, fun, award-winning products for kids that educate, inspire and tickle funny bones! The company was founded on a single product – a poster featuring the beloved art from the classic children’s book Goodnight Moon. Almost 30 years and more than 5,000 products later, we have grown to be a leader in juvenile stickers, greeting cards, and cooperative games.
Peaceable Kingdom’s mission is to make good, do good, and be good. Here’s how we do it!
• we donate frequently to charitable organizations that support the well-being of children
• we are committed to working only with socially-conscious manufacturers
• we use sustainable and eco-friendly materials like FSC and recycled papers, soy-based inks, and corn-based plastics whenever we can
• we maintain integrity in all business relationships
• we have fun while we work!
Connect with the kids in your life with Peaceable Kingdom.”
When they started the game
When the cat got to move everyone was sad!
When the last mouse got in the attic, everyone was excited!
My Thoughts
I think the whole cooperative game is fantastic! We played the Great Cheese Chase and my kids have played it at least once (usually two or three times) everyday since we have received it! I always hear excited voices and they can play it on their own without me standing there to referee! This is especially awesome when you consider my son has Autism and is very competitive! He plays without a problem and worked together with his sisters in order to get all of the mice to the attic. It’s amazing! I LOVE this game and will be looking at getting the other games, since this one is helping my kids learn to work together so well! I think these games would be fantastic for my Kindergarteners too! We also got to try out the Sticker Activity Poster with the Glow-in-the-Dark Fairies. So fun! My three oldest daughters took turns putting the stickers on (another rarity) and then my son was excited to see it glow! I tried to get a good picture of it glowing, but my camera didn’t like it! It glows incredibly well! There are a lot of stickers and you can really tell what they are! I think this would be a great reward chart! You can give them a sticker for every good day or no-accident day, etc. My kids think it’s super cool! It’s even eco-friendly! All-in-all I give Peaceable Kingdom two thumbs up!
