This sounded like a different version of Craigslist, so I thought I’d check it out.
About Bookoo.com (from their website)
“A passion for finding great deals at yard sales inspired us (them) to start Bookoo back in 2004. Today Bookoo supports a thriving community of millions of thrifty people all over the world who use our websites and smartphone apps to exchange second-hand treasures with their local neighbors. We have hundreds of Bookoo sites scattered hither and yon across the land that allow money-conscious souls to buy and sell for free. Buyers save bookoo bucks by finding the stuff they want at a much lower price than buying new. And sellers make bookoo bucks by selling useful goodies that would otherwise take up valuable space in their homes. Bookoo sites are brimming with just about everything you can imagine: clothing, sporting goods, appliances, furniture, cars, electronics and on and on and on. We also make it easy for our users to find real, live yard sales nearby. They can list their yard sales on the sites, and the yard sale listing tool maps them all out for easy route planning. As the world’s funnest darn tootin’ yard sale community, Bookoo is packed with hidden treasures.”
Ok, so first I checked out the electronics page (since my tv just stopped working) and I immediately saw pictures and prices! Awesome! Not a long list of items, but pictures that I could see with a price and location right there! Then I clicked on one that looked good to me and the picture was even bigger with lots of info, a phone number and whether the person is online or not. You can even click on their name and pull up their profile or on the bottom you can see what else they’re selling! They will also give you a map to where your seller is located! I like this website way better that Craigslist! Now to tell all of my friends, so there are more that just people far away on the Kansas City one! There’s flagging to get rid of the scammers and attention getters (multiple postings of the same item). There’s a change jar to show how much money you make, and there’s even a watch list if you aren’t ready to commit yet! I love the watch list, because I know sometimes on craigslist I have to relocate something I liked, and it’s no fun! The free listing only includes one picture and you can only do ten listings in a month, but I don’t know why that would be a problem. If you want to post more or add more pictures, then you have to go Premiere. Either way, I think it’s great! Tell your friends and neighbors!
