This recipe only uses five ingredients. That’s it. It’s a super simple side that’s awesome with just about any backyard barbecue meal you can come up with.

I like to leave my potatoes unpeeled, but you can peel yours if you want. If you do, you might need to reduce the cooking time just a little to keep them from getting mushy.

Oven Steak Fries Recipe

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

This Oven Steak Fries recipe is a perfect example of minimalist cooking with maximum flavor! You'll only need potatoes and a few standard pantry ingredients to whip these up.

Ingredients

  • 4 russet potatoes unpeeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 500F.


    Cut the potatoes into about 8 wedges per potato.


    In a large bowl, add the oil and all the seasoning and stir them well. Then add in the potatoes, stir to coat well.


    Place the potatoes on a non-stick baking sheet and place them in the oven. Bake for about 20-25 minutes and flip half way through so they’re browned nicely on both sides.

Your oven steak fries look like they came out of a restaurant or were pre-made. Very appetizing…I'd like to make some that looked half as good. I think I've been cutting them the wrong way.
