Nutty Chimp Bread

We used to make this all the time for breakfast – but I think it’s also a really good snack or dessert. It’s sweet and easy, so why not make it when the craving hits?

My boys say that I could make it every day and they’d never get tired of it, and I believe them! I know because I’ve yet to him my limit!

This would also be super fun to make as a special holiday morning treat. Waking up to this sitting on the table is a great way to start the day.

Why is it called monkey bread?

The delicious dessert known as “Monkey Bread” may seem like a strange name, but there’s a fun story behind it.

Legend has it that the bread’s unique pull-apart texture and sticky sweetness were so irresistible that people couldn’t help but eat it like monkeys picking and pulling at their food. Hence, the name “Monkey Bread” was born.

Whether you’re indulging in the classic cinnamon sugar version or a more savory variation, there’s no denying the addictive nature of this dessert.

So, next time you’re craving something sweet and gooey, try Monkey Bread and experience the deliciousness for yourself!

Can I reheat leftover monkey bread?

Monkey bread is a delicious treat that’s perfect for breakfast or dessert. If you have leftovers, don’t worry – you can easily reheat it and enjoy it again.

To start, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, place the leftover monkey bread on a baking sheet and cover it with aluminum foil to prevent it from getting too crispy.

Pop it in the oven for 10-15 minutes or until heated. Once it’s done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before digging in.

The monkey bread should be warm and gooey, like when you first made it.

With this simple reheating method, you can enjoy your leftover monkey bread without worrying about it going to waste.
