But back to this more recipe traditional hamburger soup in the pressure cooker and all those amazing veggies. If you love your vegetables (which I do) and find that the best comfort food is loaded with green beans, diced tomatoes, onion and celery, well, you’re going to love this recipe.

Because not only is this quick and easy dinner, but it’s a great recipe for a crowd, too.

And, because you’re not making this on the stove top, you don’t have to worry about it boiling over or scalding if you have to run off to do other things. Seriously, that’s one of the best benefits of the Instant Pot.

Let’s get cookin’.

How to Make Instant Pot Hamburger Soup

Place your ground beef in the inner pot and set your Instant Pot to sauté.

Add onions and garlic then mix it all together, breaking up the meat and cooking until it’s browned.

Add your diced potatoes, vegetables, and tomatoes then turn off the pot.

Season the meat and veggies mixture with parsley, black pepper, and salt. Sometimes I even add a little garlic powder if I don’t have minced garlic and this is when I’d add it.

Add in the tomato sauce, beef broth, and water and stir until well combined.

Seal the Instant Pot and set it to soup or low pressure for 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can cook on high pressure for 20 minutes, but increasing the pressure can cause the veggies to be a little mushy, so I like to keep it at the slower pressure cook.

Natural release (do not quick release because, since there’s so much liquid, you might have a spray).

Enjoy!
