pureed fresh blackberries and sweeten condensed milk make a delightfully creamy dessert for a warm summer day

This recipe reminds me of picking blackberries in the summertime and its perfect summer treat on a hot summer day! In fact, I sent my boys out to pick blackberries just so I could make it. 🙂 They love this ice cream so much that they never even hesitated!

This Homemade Blackberry Ice Cream only takes a handful of ingredients. Every bite of blackberry will have you wanting another bite!

Tips for making Homemade Blackberry Ice Cream:

Fresh blackberries are the best and the most flavorful. However, if you cannot find fresh, frozen blackberries are your next best bet.

This ice cream needs to set in the freezer for at least 5-6 hours. I like to make it early in the morning so it is ready for dessert after dinner. If not, I’ll make it in the evening to have it ready the next day.

This recipe is no-churn, which I love! Simply combine all the ingredients and fold into a freezer safe container to set.

Buy (pick) an extra pint or two of fresh blackberries for topping the ice cream. You could also puree an extra pint, adding a small amount of sugar while heating in a saucepan for a fresh blackberry syrup topping. Yum!!

My boys love helping out in the kitchen. If your kiddos love cooking, have all the ingredients pre-measured and the kids can help mix all the ingredients together!
