The instructions didn’t include when to add the egg. I added it with the butter and sugars. After adding all ingredients the mixture was crumbly. Additional liquid was not included in the list of ingredients. I added not quite a 1/4 cup of water. That’s what it needed to be dough consistency. Baked and cooled per instructions. My son and I taste tested. They were very bland without a gingerbread flavor. Please review your recipe. I think it’s possible there were some errors. I’d love to try a revised version.
