Now that I have a full time job on top of blogging and raising 3 kids (easy, right?) there’s hardly any spare time in the day, and my waistline is getting a little ridiculous. I’ve been eating lots of cruddy sodium filled food that’s quick and easy to grab, and I seriously feel awful about it. But I just literally don’t have time to cook a healthy meal.
I learned about FITzee foods a while back, and I was intrigued. They provide organic, pre-cooked, pre-packaged meals that are aimed at helping you get your weight under control. Now, I was a little nervous, too. How good can a frozen meal really be?
I went to the FITzee website, and entered all of my stats and information. They determined that for me to lose weight, I would need to select foods from their “small” portion sizing category. I chose Nicole’s Chicken Pesto Pasta, Mild Curried Chicken, and the Banana Flax Pancakes w/ Agave. Mmm, pancakes!
I received the food in a cold shipment (to ensure that they stayed cold enough to be safe to eat), and I popped them in my freezer immediately. I have to say, while I loved all of the foods, the chicken pesto pasta was my absolute favorite. Though it was considered a “small” portion sizing, it was plenty of food! Here is my meal pictured on a salad plate.
And the best part? Totally delicious. Check out this video to learn more about what FITzee is all about:
Their turkey and chicken are free range, their beef is grass-fed, and their salmon is wild. When FITzee says their food is high-quality, they mean it!
With FITzee, you choose your meals, so you know exactly what is coming to your door. No surprises here! They also offer snacks that are sinfully delicious. I tried the chewy chocolate chip bar — omgoodness. Heaven. It was like eating cookie dough!
FITzee meal costs typically range between $6- $16; Snacks $1 to $5. You can find exact pricing in their online store.
Overall, I’d say that for the quality, taste, and convenience that FITzee provides, it’s a reasonably priced product that can give you results when you follow the plan!
