In reply to Kelli Miller. We get a little frustrated when we are confused with Virginia. You would be amazed at how many people really don't realize that we are a state. I have a shirt that says "The smart went west in 1863" (West Virginia became a state June 20, 1863).

Oops! You caught us – seems like our fingers were more enchanted by the rolling hills of West Virginia than they were diligent in typing it out.

Only two mentions slipped over to Virginia’s side, but fear not, corrections have been made to keep the focus firmly on the rugged beauty of West Virginia and its iconic foods.

While we’re all for sharp eyes catching such slips, a gentle nudge works just as well – no need to sharpen those pitchforks!

It’s disappointing that an article supposed to be about West Virginia foods mostly lists foods from Virginia. I’d say you failed your “unit study”. Are you not into proofreading, or are you just not aware that West Virginia and Virginia are two separate states?
