These Adorable Devil Cupcakes are literally the cutest. No matter if you’re celebrating the birthday of your “cute little devil” or you’re looking for some fun devil cupcakes for Halloween, these chocolate cake cupcakes are going to be so much fun to make!

Not only are they made using a devil’s food cake mix, but they’re also crazy good with that delicious buttercream frosting on top! (or cream cheese frosting!) . Trust me on this one…These chocolate cupcakes are “sinfully” good!

Devil Cupcakes

The taste of these Devil food cupcakes is so moist and delicious. These devil horn cupcakes have the look down and follow up with that amazing taste, too. I’ve made these several times and they’re always a hit.

Mixing together the softened butter and milk and the rest of the ingredients per the recipe below and use an electric mixer to mix well. Once you put the cupcake liners in your muffin tins and fill them with this devil’s food cupcakes mixture, it’s as simple as popping them in the oven and letting them back.

The cool part about these cupcakes is that my kiddos have always loved them! I’m always skeptical when I bake up a new recipe but I can assure you that they were refusing to wait the 20 minutes that I’d asked them to wait to let them cool down all the way.

They were running to the table and grabbing one for each hand! (I might have snuck a few during that time, too!)

How long does it take for butter to get to room temperature?

The easiest way for butter to get to room temperature fast is to just sit it out on the counter and walk away. Come back after about 30 minutes and check it out.

Depending on the temp in your house, the butter will soften at 30 minutes to an hour’s worth of time.

How do you know when cupcakes are done baking?

Use the toothpick test! Just take a clean toothpick, insert it into the middle of the cupcake once it’s “done” baking, and see if the toothpick comes out clean. If it does, the cupcakes are done and ready to be pulled from the oven.

It’s then time to more them to wire racks to cool.
