Visual discrimination activities like this are such an important bridge between just hearing letter names and truly recognizing them in print. A tip that has worked so well for our 2-4 year olds: after the worksheet, play a ‘letter A hunt’ around the room to find uppercase and lowercase A’s on books and toys — it turns a paper activity into a whole-body game that really cements the learning. We also sing the letter A sound along with our mascot Sunny over at Sunny Sprouts Kids on YouTube, which gives little ones the letter name and sound together. The dot marker apple activity looks especially fun — perfect for little hands!
