Great question! If you only have regular (active dry) yeast, you can still use it—just make sure to proof it first in warm water (about 110°F) with a pinch of sugar for 5–10 minutes until it gets bubbly. Then continue the recipe as written. 😊 Let me know how they turn out!

Yes, they can absolutely be made the night before. I would #1 make sure to allow them to cool completely before sealing them in an airtight container and #2 not frost/ice them until the morning. Then, in the morning, set a wet paper towel on them and stick them in the microwave for 30-45 seconds. When they come out, remove the wet paper towel and ice them. The wet paper towel adds the soft moisture back into them making them taste fresh from the oven!
