Do you have sun damaged skin? Have you been using expensive, or in expensive products on your skin from your local drug store that promise to stop the signs of aging or reduce sun damage? Is it working? Can you see a difference? These are concerns we all have about our skin. I know I have sun damaged skin and I’m at a loss as to what to do, to either reverse the effects, or completely eradicate the effects.
Dana Ramos’s new book The Skin Regime: Bootcamp For Beautiful Skin takes on the beauty industry and reveals the truth about skincare.
Bottom line–You CAN reverse sun damage and aging and get fabulous skin with a routine you create at home, using inexpensive products available at drugstores or on-line.
We show you everything to get glowing, great, healthy skin–all over your body.
This book is the answer to my skin woes, I have some sun damage that I would really like to minimize if not completely eradicate! After reading the book I was very excited to start my new skin care routine, so I ran over to my local Wal-Mart and grabbed the additional items I would need to get started, besides the sample glycolic peel I was sent. The steps are extremely easy and simple to follow, it’s sort of a “Really? That’s all there is to it?” kind of skin care routine. It just so happened that my sister-in-law was here helping me with the kids for the week and she read the book too. And while she was reading she took notes and wrote out a handy “cheat sheet” to reference for future use ;). I have never had a peel before so I didn’t know what to expect, it tingled and stung a bit but I persevered. I only had some irritation and by day 2 I was back to normal, with the exception that I had cleaner and surprisingly softer skin! I’ve been doing the skin regime for about two and half weeks now and I gotta tell you I’m loving my skin! The boot camp part of The Skin Regime lasts between 6 and 12 weeks depending on your skin, I’ve already noticed some improvement in my skin I can’t wait to see what it looks like at the end of my boot camp :).
What I loved the most about this book is that Dana answers many of the questions I would’ve had while reading, right when I would’ve had them! It is a very easy and quick read. Dana is very honest in her writing and you can tell that she is a “tell it like it is” kind of women, which I loved.
Not sure if the book is for you? You can read the first 30 pages online right now, go check it out. To go along with the book you can also purchase products, such as peels and emu oil, directly from The Skin Regime that are intended to go along with the program. It’s suggested that you read the book first before you buy any products. And it’s not just for women, men can do it too, they just need to change their shaving ritual during the “boot camp” phase.
The book is available for purchase from Amazon and the products can be purchased from the web store. She also has provided a listing of other companies where you can purchase the products you’ll need to start your skin “boot camp”.
