Apples to Apples Game Night:
We love to play the game Apples to Apples. Seriously, we laugh and laugh at the different (and often hilarious) matches that are made! It’s the kind of game that’s perfect for all ages (as long as you can read).
This game is super simple to play. There aren’t pages of complicated directions. And you don’t really need to be strategic to win, which makes it great for all ages and abilities.
We’ve found that we have the most fun when we have 5 or more people playing. “The more the merrier” really applies here.
Playing Apples to Apples can also be a great conversation starter. You can find out why Uncle Bobby thinks gold chains are awkward or why your 9 year old thinks waterfalls are scary.
We usually take this with us when we go on vacation with our friends. Each night we have a theme night that includes our dinner and activities for the evening. We’ve found that Apples to Apples is perfect for rainy days at the beach or at night, when we’re all tired from swimming and building sand castles.
We laugh and laugh! And, we’ve even stayed up after the kids have gone to bed and played with just the adults!
One of the best parts about hosting a game night is coming up with great food to serve! If you’re gearing up for a fun night playing Apples to Apples, why not make some tasty Apples to Apples Recipes for Family Game Night to continue the theme?
