What Series Would You Like To See In July?

Yes, it seems early, but in order for me to actually do a series, it takes a bit of work to get all the review/giveaway items. In April we did the Home Office Organization Series. I knew that May would be too busy with my WeBlog Conference, so I didn’t play anything then. June will be “In The Kitchen With Kelli” and I need to start making plans now for July. August will be Back to School. So, since I couldn’t make up my mind, I thought I would turn to my readers. Please take a few minutes to vote!

Also, if you are a blogger that would be interested in teaming up for something in July, please drop me an email! I have been thinking about doing another series with a couple bloggers like I did for my Spooktacular Soiree, but just can’t make up my mind. Besides, no one has asked me to work with them on a blog series. LOL!

My Office Organization Supply Wish List

I am still on a home office organization kick. So, as I was making my Amazon wish list, I thought my wonderful readers might want to know what things I am still wanting to complete my office organization.

I can get all 6 of these for a little over 100 dollars! Not bad, not bad at all! Plus, if my readers purchase any of these, I make a couple pennies. I have a few Amazon Gift Cards that I am planning to put towards to purchase of some.

CONTEST: Home Office Organization Series Finale

I have had a BLAST during the Home Office Organization Series and have gotten my office much better organized. What about you? Have you been cleaning each day? Do you have some pictures to share?

Remember my before? I had stacks of stuff EVERYWHERE.

So, I moved my office back to my living room and find I am spending less time at it than I was with it in my kitchen. That is actually good. I should be done with my day by a certain point, but it was so easy to sit at the computer while waiting on rice to boil, etc.

I also cleared up my filing cabinet and got rid of some paper. So, I was able to put all those stacks of press kits into my cabinet. I pulled one of my old cabinets in and organized some supplies into it.

I am doing a giveaway, it isn’t huge, but remember the actual reward is a job well done. LOL! This is straight from my pocket since I just decided to run a quick giveaway.

Get Your Home Office Organized: My Filing System

We are going to start the Home Office Organization Series with me giving you a sneak peek at my filing system.

I have a vast number of files for everything from warrantees, to instruction books, to EF papers, to homeschooling, to personal stuff. The files are not touched on a regular basis, but are needed. I keep them in the top drawer of my 4 drawer filing cabinet. You know, things like:

Warrantees
Home Info
Insurance Papers
Receipts needed for taxes
Birth Certificates

Then, I have my second drawer that gets opened 9-million times a day. My daily paperwork gets stuffed in it. In is the perfect level for me to access comfortably while sitting in my chair. In fact, that drawer is usually open because I have something sitting on it that I am currently working on.

In that drawer I have the following files:

Hot File – the stuff that I need to handle but couldn’t right away for what ever reason. Maybe I am awaiting a response from someone before I can continue with it. I go through this file weekly to update my To DO list or file anything no longer needed.
School – This is where I keep Tripp’s printed school schedule, to do lists, print outs we will be using, etc.
Blog – If I come across something that I want to reference in a blog post, or something that give me a blogging idea, it goes in this file.
EF – If I am working with a student or a family, the pertinent info goes here.

Drawer three is currently housing all the Product Slicks and Press Kits that I collected while at the 2010 International Home and Housewares Show. I am planning to put these to use really soon when I do my Kitchen Series. Then, that drawer will be empty!

Drawer four holds all the books I have listed at Paperback Swap as well as packing tape, business cards, and envelopes.
