REVIEW: Monopoly Streets Wii Game

Little Known Tidbit: I collect Monopoly games.  Seriously, I have an entire closet filled with them and am always looking for more interesting or unique ones.

The 75th Anniversary game, Monopoly Streets, from Hasbro and EA Play is certainly unique, but right there with the times since it is available on the hottest gaming platforms like the Wii and also on Xbox 360 and PS3!

They Say: For the first time ever, players will experience MONOPOLY, one of the world’s favorite family game brands, as a fully dynamic, living, 3D world that continuously evolves with the video game action. Additionally, MONOPOLY Streets features online multiplayer and unique downloadable content for players around the world. The experience offers an assortment of features that add to the thrill of becoming a MONOPOLY real estate mogul.

Available Online for $39.99

Mom Says: I really enjoy it… it is a great way to keep from getting bored as with a regular board game Monopoly.   Plus, you can change the rules in numerous ways, so the game can keep changing.  The 3D technology actually allows you to watch your player moving around the board.

As a mom of 3 little boys, I was a bit irritated by the female person wearing shorty-shorts, but we made a joke out of it and let it go.  So, if you have Religious or Moral problems with shorty-shirts, this might not be the game for you.  It isn’t over the top or in your face, but I wanted to be sure my readers were aware before anyone bought the game and then were upset with me for not warning them about that minor-detail. Winking smile

REVIEW: Littlest Pet Shop Online Dancing Dog and Starter Pack (LPSO)

Hasbro just released two brand new Littlest Pet Shop toys that have codes for Electronic Art’s Littlest Pet Shop Online… and just in time for Christmas!

8A71869919B9F36910EA9D265BAE8BA2

The Littlest Pet Shop Online Dancing Dog is an electronic toy that retails for approximately $24.99. It plugs into a PC or MP3 player and dances when music is played on the device. The toy contains speakers so it will play music aloud as it dances, as well as lights that will flash in time with the music. Included in the package is a promotional code to be used for virtual rewards and access to LITTLEST PET SHOP ONLINE

The Littlest Pet Shop Online Starter Pack is a collection of toy figurines modeled after the characters that appear in the Littlest Pet Shop Online virtual world. The lps_logoStarter Pack includes pets like the cat character Felina Murchent and the lamb Woolma O’Chick. Each Starter Pack pet is sold individually for approximately $9.99 and come with a promotional code that grants the user a 30-day subscription to LPSOe as well as virtual items. (Other starter pack pets are: Pig, Mouse, Ferret, and Bat.)

Mom Says: What can I say?  They are made by Hasbro (which we already know that I think is the Bees Knees) and the game is by EA Play.  A winning combination if I ever heard of one.  The Dancing Dog is seriously adorable as are all the LPSO animals.  The online world is perfect for little girls who want to play online like mom and Dad do… as well as for parents who worry about what their kids do online.

GIVEAWAY: Mr. Potato Head and Toy Story 3 Team Up

Hasbro has recently come out with some new Toy Story 3 toys, including 4 new Mr. Potato Heads inspired by the hit movie.  When Hasbro reached out to me about reviewing the new Mr. Potato Head Classic, Mrs. Potato Head, Spud Lightyear, or Woody’s Tater Round Up, I couldn’t get Tank to choose the one he wanted.  So, they graciously sent me TWO and will be offering the same 2 to one of my readers!

Since Tank likes to be on “TV”, I did this as a video review.  If you are reading this via a reader, you will need to click through to my site so you can see the video. :-)

One 3 Boys and a Dog reader will win Woody’s Tater Round Up and Spud Lightyear.

REQUIRED: Visit Hasbro, look around, and tell me something you want, like, or learned.
