Menu Plan Monday: So, This is Christmas!

Christmas is this weekend!  When I was little, it seemed to take FOREVER for special days to arrive, now it doesn’t take long enough.  My kids are growing up much too quickly.

Anyway, I won’t bore you with a bunch of drivel before posting my Christmas week menu plan… today is much too busy for most of the Population! wlEmoticon winkingsmile4 Menu Plan Monday: So, This is Christmas! I scrubbed, scoured, and organized all weekend so my house is basically clean.  I have a few more projects I want to get tackled like my kids’ rooms and the laundry room, but for the most part it is CLEAN!  YAY!

I cooked a big Dinner yesterday, so we will be eating the rest of it for supper tonight.  My problem is that I am not sure about what to do about my menu plan this week.  Ricky will be off doing his Christmas shopping and wrapping most nights this week and I HATE cooking for just the kids.  Plus, I don’t really want my fridge filled with leftovers for Christmas.  Oh, fridge… I need to get it cleaned out, too…

Wow, sorry for the Christmas rambling today! On to the menu plan:

Monday – Leftovers: Italian Meatloaf, Potatoes and Cheese, Broccoli, and Biscuits

Tuesday: Easy Chinese Stir Fry

Wednesday: Frito Pie

Thursday: Do It Yourself!

Friday (Christmas Eve): We are having Christmas Lunch at my house with Ricky’s Dad as well as his sister and her family.  I haven’t talked to her yet to get her help in setting up the menu, but I am sure we are looking at:

  • Ham
  • Potato Salad
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Green Beans
  • and whatever else we come up with, LOL!

Then, that night we are off to Mom’s to Celebrate with my parents, grandparents, my brother and his family.  My Brother’s Wife is making Chili and all I need to bring is Desert. wlEmoticon winkingsmile4 Menu Plan Monday: So, This is Christmas! I will be making Four Layer Delight.

Don’t Forget to Visit Pier 1 For Your Holiday Shopping

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

I simply love Pier 1 and their Holiday Season plans make me love them more! During the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register.

So, what types of things can you buy?

Decor, holiday gifts, holiday themed goodies, and more!  I have a few favorites, what about you?

The People on my list:

  • My husband loves candles (I think I have said that a time or two, LOL!)  So, I would certainly get him some candles from Pier 1.  Not only do they smell great, but they look so much better than just a plain jar.
  • My mother-in-law’s kitchen is all watermelon and Pier 1 has the cutest watermelon goodies that I can give to her.
  • My Sister-in-law’s kitchen and dining room are in roosters and the Pier 1 clearance section has those for a steal!

I LOVE to order online to easily knock out a few of the 50 people on my Christmas list.  Plus, life is so much easier if I can go to fewer stores.  Pier 1 Imports has so many unique gifts for so many of the people in my family.  What about you?  Do you like to give unique gifts?  Have you used Pier 1 to handle some of the people on your Christmas list?

Did you make a wish list and include some unique home decor from there?

Menu Plan Monday: Less Than 2 Weeks Until Christmas

smallbutton Menu Plan Monday: Less Than 2 Weeks Until ChristmasAre you prepared?  I am slowly getting there.  Last week was a major flop around my house, but I did get ALL of my Christmas shopping completed as well as my Christmas wrapping. Whoo-Hoo!  The only bad thing about that is that now I want to open presents. LOL!

I honestly have no idea what we are doing for supper this week, because it is going to be a crazy one.  So, I am doing this off the top of my head.  Plus, we didn’t get to all the things last week because most nights found me shopping or wrapping.  My wonderful husband cooked dinner.  We had pork chops, chicken, and do-it-yourself dinners. wlEmoticon smile Menu Plan Monday: Less Than 2 Weeks Until Christmas

My menu plan for December 13th – 17th:

MondayChili

Tuesday – leftover Chili (Tank has acrobatics this night and it is Parent Week, so we get to watch!)

Wednesday Easy Chinese Stir-Fry

ThursdayKelli’s Spaghetti

Friday – Leftover Spaghetti (Zack has acrobatics and Jazz – see Tuesday, LOL! – PLUS, the last day of school!!)

That is it!  How about your week?  Leave me a comment and I will pop over to your site to see your plan!  I am going to need some quick and easy meal ideas for next week.  The whole family is going to be home then!
