Org Junkie's Monthly Round-Up

So, I admit it… I forgot to do this! When I got my message from Laura at Organizing Junkie I semi-panicked! I need traffic and I can’t even do these simple things to get people here :-) . So, I grabbed a camera and a few bags and ran to my hall closet.

So these are the before pictures… what do you think? Pretty bad huh? Well, 2 walmart bags of trash, 20 minutes, 1 walmart bag of yardsale, and a few pieces of dirty laundry later and I have:

TA! DA!! :-) I was so happy with my minimal effort! I collect Monopoly games, BTW that is why there are so many of them :-)

Cabinet Clean Out Bottoms – UPDATE 4

Well, I did it! Every cabinet in my kitchen has been decluttered and reorganized! It is really amazing how much junk collects inside cabinets. The crazy thing is, I could do this again next month and probably find more to throw out. LOL!
Ok, here was under the sink, before.

Below, we have AFTER… I filled my kitchen garbage can with empty bottles and junk! I really want to get one of those little under the sink shelves that fit around your pipes… I guess I should put it on my wish list.

That’s all folks Thanks for joining me on my great kitchen cabinet clean out! Until next time!

Cabinet Clean Out Bottoms – UPDATE 3

I knocked out another cabinet yesterday evening and plan to finish them up today. As a refresher, here are my previous articles on my bottom cabinet clean outs:

Below we have the before picture:

Now, this is the after pictures… I took a couple because I was so proud. I have been in this house 7 years and never really paid any attention to the hidden space on the left. I had my middle boy climb into the cabinet and wipe it out. While he was back there he found 3 cans of paint that the previous owner had left! Too funny! I also threw out a few dishes that we just don’t use.

Cabinet Clean Out Bottoms – UPDATE 2

I am getting there, slowly but surely. :-) You know, once you plop down on the floor and start pulling stuff out, you realize that it really isn’t quite as bad as it looks. My cabinets are not really dirty, they just need to be straightened up. :-) Ok, here was my pot cabinet BEFORE.

Here it is AFTER. The small top shelf holds my pans, the back of the bottom shelf holds those pots that I don’t use very often (like at Christmas, etc). I know it isn’t a huge difference, but until I can get a bigger kitchen, my pots and pans have to be piled up. LOL!

Cabinet Clean Out Bottoms – UPDATE 1

Not bad for my first day into this. :-) A bit of a refresher :-) Below we have my before of the cabinet on the left of my sink.

This is after my cleaning. :-) It looks WAY better, to me. On the right of this picture you can see a bit of junk peeking… that is actually under my sink (no separator between the cabinets) once I get the under sink cabinets done, that mess won’t be there anymore :-) Tupperware – BEFORE… there were lids and/or bottoms that didn’t have a mate. I chunked them!

Isn’t that much better? Plus, I was able to pull my ice bucket out of the small appliance cabinet and put it here. This cabinet is actually right beside my fridge so it seems the logical place for the ice bucket. I just got it for Christmas so wasn’t sure of where it should go. It has been moved several times, glad to have finally found the one place where it actually feels right. :-)
