Somersault Snack Company started out from a desperation, “for a healthy snack that we could grab anytime – something that would nourish and tickle our taste buds. Disenchanted by unsatisfying snacks, we set out to create our own to share with other active people, just like us.”
What this company discovered was a bit of a surprise to them. Offering an awesome blend of fiber, protein, pleasing taste, and nutrition was the sunflower seed! The sunflower seeds’ nutritional benefits can be linked and compared to many of the same power-packing nutrients that nuts have. Just one serving of these tiny seeds have:
- 4x more antioxidants than blueberries
- More fiber than an apple
- AND 50% more protein than almonds!
Somersault Snack Co. bakes sesame and sunflowers seeds into every crunchy, delicious nugget. As a Mom with a child of life-threatening food allergies, I am beyond happy to find a nut-free snack option that he can actually enjoy! Somersault Snack Co. offers 5 equally delicious flavors: pacific sea salt, salty pepper, dutch cocoa, Sante Fe salsa, and cinnamon crunch. With all of these tasty options, parents can feel good about providing their child with a new lunch or snack time option- especially with the new school year starting up! Additionally, I have been eating Somersaults for lunch with the addition of some dairy or a piece of fruit and have been quite full and satisfied afterward.
Somersaults pack a lot of goodness into every bite: they boost your immune system, can contribute to the lowering of blood pressure and “bad” (LDL) cholestrol, raising “good (HDL) cholesterol, and helping prevent cardiovascular disease. All of this and they are made with non-GMO ingredients.
Somersault Snack Co. is also starting Twitter chats and will be every #ThirdThursday @SomersaultSnack #SomersaultChat
Would you eat somersaults as a meal itself or in addition to your meal?
