I don’t have gluten issues and neither does anyone in my family, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been exposed to the realities of gluten intolerance’s or celiac desease. One of my very good friends has a gluten intolerance as well as all three of her children and because of this I have become acutely aware of the effects that gluten can have on our bodies. Now, don’t get me wrong I love me a good slice of fresh homemade bread but if we’re not meant to have gluten in our diets then I am willing to give it up if I can find a suitable replacements for the things I love. Pasta, bread, baking, etc.

I’ve tried many gluten free cakes and I have enjoyed every one and in fact, if I could make it from scratch I would only make gluten free cakes because I actually prefer the taste! I had heard about Udi’s Gluten Free products but I wasn’t sure where to buy it and I really wanted to give it a try, so when we were approached to do a review I was all over it!

The flavor and texture of Udi’s Gluten Free breads, buns, bagels, muffins, cookies and granolas are so good our fans have been known to cry with joy!

Udi’s Gluten Free isn’t just bread, as mentioned above they also make bagels, muffins, cookies and granola. I had the chance to sample their many flavours of bread and hamburger buns and I am in love! I think our favorite bread is the Cinnamon Raisin, my one year old ate most of that loaf! Each loaf had such a unique flavour I don’t know that I could specifically pick one that I like more. I like the size of loaf as well for my little eaters. It toasted perfectly and made a great sandwich. The bread wasn’t my husbands favorite but he did really like the hamburger bun. If I had to go gluten free, Udi’s would be on the top of my list of products I would buy. I’m looking forward to trying some of their other products.

Spring into Colour Beauty at Clinique through May 4th

Mom’s exchange student and I got our make up done at the local Clinique counter this weekend. We had a fun girl time and Melanie at Belk in Mobile helped us choose the perfect products.

I was amazed at how the CC Cream covered up the bulk of my sunburn and the Even Better Concealer really helped to knock out the allergy and contact induced dark circles under my eyes!

I purchased the CC Cream on the spot along with some new powder and pretty eye shadow and am saving my pennies for the Even Better Concealer and Even Better Eyes Dark Circle Corrector soon. I prefer to buy things when I get a gift with purchase so I am awaiting that email. LOL!

I will be using my new make up tomorrow – so you can judge for yourself how my CC Cream looks on me in the Live G+ Hangout Tuesday at 10 am Central compared to previous hangouts on my youtube channel.

This book is the answer to my skin woes, I have some sun damage that I would really like to minimize if not completely eradicate! After reading the book I was very excited to start my new skin regime, so I ran over to my local Wal-Mart and grabbed the additional items I would need to get started, besides the sample glycolic peel I was sent. The steps are extremely easy and simple to follow, it’s sort of a “Really? That’s all there is to it?” kind of regime. It just so happened that my sister-in-law was here helping me with the kids for the week and she read the book too. And while she was reading she took notes and wrote out a handy “cheat sheet” to reference for future use . I have never had a peel before so I didn’t know what to expect, it tingled and stung a bit but I persevered. I only had some irritation and by day 2 I was back to normal, with the exception that I had cleaner and surprisingly softer skin! I’ve been doing the skin regime for about two and half weeks now and I gotta tell you I’m loving my skin! The boot camp part of The Skin Regime lasts between 6 and 12 weeks depending on your skin, I’ve already noticed some improvement in my skin I can’t wait to see what it looks like at the end of my boot camp .

What I loved the most about this book is that Dana answers many of the questions I would’ve had while reading, right when I would’ve had them! It is a very easy and quick read. Dana is very honest in her writing and you can tell that she is a “tell it like it is” kind of women, which I loved.

It’s suggested that you read the book first before you buy any products. And it’s not just for women, men can do it too, they just need to change their shaving ritual during the “boot camp” phase.
