This review couldn’t have come at a better time for me! I had just recently (read Feb of this year) gotten my eyes checked after a number of years (oops!) and so I had a slightly newer prescription and my old glasses were all scratched up and worn looking. It was definitely time for a new pair or two.
I’ve tried other online retailers with great success, so to try out another option wasn’t much of a stretch for me. So let’s get down to the nitty gritty, as they say
. I found Firmoo‘s website extremely easy to navigate and found exactly what I was looking for with just a few clicks. You can search by gender, frame style, material, shape and size, making it easier to find the exact style you are looking for. Another great feature I found, was that they also include pictures of people wearing the glasses in real situations, which I found really helped me to decide. They also offer a virtual try-on system, which allows you to upload a picture of yourself so you can see what each pair of frames will look like on you. I really like this feature, you have the option of uploading a picture you already have or taking a new one with your computers camera, if you have one.
They have a wide selection of frames so I’m sure you’ll be able to find exactly what you are looking for. As an added bonus Firmoo offers a first pair free program to first time buyers, I should note that the free frames are from a somewhat limited selection, they are for 1.50 single vision lenses and you are responsible for shipping. But still it’s a really great deal considering how much you pay in standard brick and mortar shops.
I had the opportunity to select two frames for my review and I have to say I am very happy with both frames. I went for frames that I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards and I am really happy I did. The different looks they both give me are a nice change from my normal. I went a solid black rectangular frame and slightly larger black/blue rectangular frame. Both frames seem to be of pretty good quality and so far other then a bit of difficulty getting used to the new prescription, or perhaps the coatings (I’ve never had a UV coating before), they seem to have gotten it right. My personal favorite are the black/blue frame, I thought they might bring out my blue eyes and be a little more risque then what I would normally choose. What do you think, did I make good choices??
All my dealings with customer service were awesome and the time between order and shipment was quite reasonable, I ordered on a Monday and I got them that Friday.
Their frames range from $8 – $59 a pair plus any coatings you might want applied and of course depending on your prescription. (And of course shipping.) Some of their frames are also available to be made into sunglasses, which as any glasses wearing individual knows can be quite pricey in the brick and mortar stores. The available coatings are: anti-scratch, anti-reflective/anti-radiation and UV coating and tint, gradient tint and photochromic.

Side note: Sorry for the poor photo quality, I tried to get my daughter to take pics but she kept getting fuzzy ones so I had to resort to selfie’s!
