Introducing the Blackberry Z10 from Verizon Wireless #VZWA

I have been invited back for my fourth, 3 month ambassadorship with Verizon Wireless and this time, I was sent a Blackberry Z10 – having never jumped on the Blackberry bandwagon (you know back in the day when everyone wanted one), I was very unsure of what to expect.  Honestly, I should have known that my overall first impressions would be good… it is a Blackberry after all and I have never known one of those to have issues!

There is just so much to love about this phone! Though the Blackberry World apps just don’t stack up to other application marketplaces like Android and iPhone, the phone is so amazing that it leaves you thinking you don’t really need those apps anyway.

Remember, I have only had this phone for a few days and am already beyond amazed with some things.  Let’s go through those before I go into my missing favorite apps!

Blackberry Flow

You know how with most phone if you are in the middle of doing something and you get a text message you can’t go handle that without leaving the thing you are doing?  Well, with Blackberry Flow, you can! You just flow into one place and it keeps the other place open and working!  Then, you can even easily find the open places at a later time!  Nice, right?

Blackbery Hub

The Blackberry Hub is every notice right at your fingertips!  No more going from app to app to read and respond – think Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, LinkedIn, emails, etc!  Take a peek into the Hub no matter what you are doing or where you are and then continue on with your day!

Blackberry Keyboard

OK, so the Windows phone had an amazing keyboard, but the Blackberry Z10 goes beyond that!  If I type “Tripp” a few times, it recognizes that I use it often and it starts offering that up as an option!  A flick of the letter and boom it flies onto my typing area!

I am also in love with the camera!  I am so in love with the camera that I have started a full post talking about it.

OK, so here’s what I miss:  Pandora, Fit Bit, Candy Crush, Pinterest, Skype, Hoot Suite, and Instagram – but with 100,000 apps in the Blackberry World Marketplace, I am quickly finding things to replace those.  Plus, they ar working on getting these items… it is just a matter of time!  In fact, Skype recently announced that it has partnered with Blackberry so we should expect that app VERY soon!

Stay tuned as I learn about this new phone over the next few months!  You can even follow the #VZWA hashtag on Twitter to see what others think.

PSST – this phone is BUILT for the speed of Verizon Wireless 4G LTE  seriously!

Good review but I don’t understand how these new phones can come out and not have aps like Pandora, Fit Bit, Candy Crush, Pinterest, Skype, Hoot Suite, and Instagram. Ok maybe I understand Fit Bit and Candy Crush but really the other ones are so popular in the business and fun land of smart phones.

Congrats on your continual ambassadorship. They must love ya! SusieQTpies

  3. Yes, congrats on the continued ambassadorship. I have actually wondered how this would perform as I’ve never owned a Blackberry either. I look forward to hearing more about this one.

I need a Blackberry to help keep my life in order, especially as my mom and I endeavor to tart our own business. I like how easy the Blackberry Z10 seems to use. I love all the available apps – there really seems to be an app or everything and anything. Thanks for the post.

This looks like a really nice phone. It reminds me of an iphone and its features. Maybe that’s what they’re going for.

  6. This is a for sure step up from the Blackberry bold that I used to have.
