GIVEAWAY: Jungle Rangers Educational Game for Kids

Main iFocus Photo

With so many computer games on the mareket for kids, it’s hard to find the perfect game that is fun, educational and not too tough for your child to play. We’ve purchased games in the past for various systems in our house and I haven’t yet found the right game for my kids. iFocus Education has developed a game that not only helps your child with their focus, but it also learns and adapts to your child’s skill level as they play the game. So if the game determines that your child is having difficulty in a game it will adapt and make the game a little easier until your child needs the difficulty increased.

The game is called Jungle Rangers, and it is accompanied by a comic book that helps to set up the story of the game. After a few bumps and frustrations my oldest son (5 almost 6) got the hang of the game. The game uses just the arrow keys and the space bar so your child doesn’t have to worry about figuring out where the mouse cursor is :).  We started out on what I would classify an easy/medium level of difficulty but eventually the game learned my sons skill level and adjusted accordingly.

He’s only unlocked a few of the games so far (we’ve forgotten to play a few days) but he really seems to enjoy it and is eager to keep unlocking new games. The instructions are simple and easy to read and follow. I love that the game changes with your child and adds in distractions to help them learn to focus more. For example in the game Stump Jump, the object of the game is to remember a sequence jumps and then repeat the pattern yourself. The sequences change over time to include colours and falling distractions, forcing your child to have to focus even more on the game in order to unlock more games. I don’t think we’ve been playing the game long enough to see a change in his focus overall, but his focus on the game has definitely grown. When we first started the game he didn’t want to play for very long because he was a little frustrated at having to play the same game but with in just two days he was glued to the screen, to the point that I had to impose a time restriction :).

iFocus CollageThe Jungle Rangers game is just one portion of the iFocus System. The standard edition includes the Jungle Rangers computer, comic book, quick start cards, an audio CD for parents about the Jungle Rangers game, and  Focus on Behavior. With the deluxe system you also get Focus on Fitness and Focus on Food. I’m really looking forward to using Focus on Behavior and Focus on Fitness with my kids. It’s a lot of information so we decided to focus on the Jungle Rangers game first. I really enjoyed listening to the Audio CD that accompanies the Jungle Rangers game, it was very interesting to here the reasoning behind the game and how it will help your child. I strongly encourage that you listen to the interviews, it explains so much.

You can start using the iFocus system for just $14.95 and it comes with a 6 month 100% money back guarantee plus free shipping. 3 Boys and A Dog readers can get 15% off their purchase using the discount code: RANGERS15!
