Football Movies for Kids

Sharing is caring!

With the big game coming, we have Football on the mind – that means it is time to get our list together of our “favorite” and “want to see” football movies for kids!

In our house, even the one that plays baseball instead of football and the one who dances loves Football movies for kids.

There is just something about them that really pulls at your heartstrings, and all in this list are sure to make you grab your tissues!

Football Movies for Kids

Once football season arrives, it’s fun to sit back and see what movies are out there! But this year, I’ve gathered them up for you!

The great thing about this list of movies is that they’re kid-friendly and full of family fun. If you’re looking for a fun movie list that is great for a family movie night, you’re going to love the list below.

Be sure to check out these Over 35+ Movie Night Snack Ideas as well!

Why are football films great for sports fans?

It’s because everyone loves the thrill of those Friday night lights! Some of the football films below are about a true story, while others are just great movies that the whole family can enjoy. Football players will most likely think of these as the best sports movies because they’re all about coming together and making an epic sports film.

What makes a great film for kids and adults?

There are so many variables that are needed to have a great film come together. Sometimes, it’s the small town setting that makes an epic football film. Other times, it’s about winning that championship game. Or maybe it’s about the underdog winning the Heisman trophy and obtaining the impossible dream.

There are also movies that are about a football coach needing an epic comeback or coaching his team to win their first playoff game. The great thing about many football and sports movies is that they teach life lessons in them. If the movie is about youth sports, you can bet that it’s a classic film that focuses on the home team and is more than likely an inspirational story.

If you can pair some of these movies up with the timing of the NFL draft, it’s a fun way to celebrate all things football! (I know that we do this every year when my favorite college football team is having their winning season!)

How do I create an epic game plan for a fun movie night?

Think of it like rooting for your own team! You can pick a movie or a Disney movie from the list below, and don’t forget to grab all the snacks. Ask everyone in the family what they want to watch and then weed it down from there. Some may want to watch The Little Giants, while others may want to watch Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side.

When it comes to the best football movies, figuring out what everyone wants to watch is the key! Movie nights are also fun because they launch into other great things.

Once football movies are done and over, you can move on to thinking about professional baseball and seeing if there are movies out there about a baseball team or two to watch!

Any young girl or young boy will enjoy the list of movies on this list, and then will also enjoy thinking about all the other movies that they can watch as well.

If you’re looking for a great list of sports movies, you’ll love these! These are some of my favorite football movies because they’re full of a great cast!

There is so much more to football than just the game on the field as these movies show. We have been recording football movies to watch on weekends. I'll save this list to refer back to. Great list, love the G ratings! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday. Sharing on my FB page.
