Double Review & an Awesome Giveaway! Sara Kirsch & FitBit Force (NYC)

Most people make them. Few people keep them. New Year’s Resolutions are tradition, but often times we place an undue amount of pressure on ourselves to achieve various things, when really what I feel we should be doing is setting realistic and manageable goals. My double review and giveaway this week go hand-in-hand. If you want to get fit in a way that will be doable, cost effective, and motivating… then read on!

Sara Kirsch AKA “The Healthy Family Coach”

Sara Kirsch is known on the East Coast as “The Healthy Family Coach” and the beauty of her coaching services is that you do NOT have to be on the East Coast to participate! Sara runs Challenge Groups that she monitors online and she uses social media and other technology to stay in touch with her participants wherever they may be! Sara is an independent coach with Beachbody.

Sara’s journey started years ago when she realized she faced two major problems in her eating habits: she was a sugar addict and an emotional eater, using one or both ways to comfort herself. The Mom of two young children, she fights every day to eat healthy and stay fit in order to set the example of healthy living.

Sara believes that getting your family to eat right starts with you. She provides the tools and support you need to get yourself to your health and fitness goals. She works with you one on one every step of the way to help you establish a nutritious, daily meal plan and a fitness routine to get you into the best shape of your life. Plus, she can help with tips and techniques to get your significant other, kids, and anyone else in your family on track. With her private, bi-monthly Challenge Groups on Facebook, her groups help keep you motivated AND accountable. Plus, you have the chance to win some pretty cool prizes along the way!

I took a 6 week Challenge with Sara back before Christmas. I lost weight, made new friends, and felt like I had constant, close support from Sara. I checked in on Facebook daily and was able to private message and interact with Sara. She responds promptly and truly cares about her participants. Your challenge is her challenge. She provided me with healthy options and substitutes along the way as well as exercise modifications since I was sporting a previous injury. I ended up winning a few weeks during my challenge and walked away with some nutritious food and cooking prizes. Ultimately, I ended up winning my Challenge Group, which was based on accountability, NOT how much weight we all lost and I was rewarded with a gift card for a new outfit! What I love about her Challenges is that there is nothing “crazy” involved. Nothing too expensive to “buy” into, no gimmicks, no fads. Everything she did was affordable, reasonable, and motivating in a kind way. No shaming here. Sara is THE coach to help you reach your healthy living habits!

FitBit Force

And what better way to help you track your progress as you meet your goals in Sara’s Challenge Group, then by using Fitbit’s newest fitness tracker: Force. -1

Force is an advanced, high-performance wireless activity and sleep-tracking wristband. It is super comfortable and stylish, and is the first and only of its kind to feature an OLED display with real-time access to activity stats! This device tracks and shows you steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, active minutes, and floors climbed! It also monitors your sleep, wakes you with a silent alarm, and serves as a watch. Force wirelessly and automatically syncs your stats to the leading Apple and Android smartphones, as well as your computer.

The FitBit community allows you to share and track your progress (if you desire) against others in your circle, or you can track and gauge yourself anonymously against other users. I love Fitbit’s personal and private dashboard where I can see my goals in both graph and chart form.

This device is so comfortable I forget it’s there and since it is water-resistant, I don’t have to worry about sweating with it on. I love the fact that I can earn achievement badges for my goals as well as see real-time progress across my devices. And with the Bluetooth 4.0 wireless syncing, I don’t have to worry about taking it off and plugging it in anywhere. With the Force, I feel in control of my fitness plans!

The good folks at FitBit would love for one reader to win a Force of her own! That is a $130 value!
