For ages: Preschool 3 years +

Materials Needed:

  • White Paper
  • White Crayon

Crayon Revelation Instructions:

Have your child make a drawing using a white crayon on a white piece of paper, encouraging your child to press down hard with the crayon. (You may also want to add some shapes or drawings on the paper).

Next, let your child paint over the crayon drawing with watercolor paints. The crayon marks will emerge very clearly from the painting, especially after the paint is dry.

This works just as well with a yellow rayon on yellow paper, an orange crayon on orange paper, etc.

Help Me Name My Series! #hsbloggers

OK, so I have been gathering a TON of activity ideas for preschoolers at a reader request.  Now, I have like hundreds of them from my head and different places.  I am planning to start a weekly series for however long it lasts, but need a name.

These are easy activities for 3 and 4 year olds mostly using items you already have around your house.  They are simple and fun, but will help to improve your preschoolers skills like: Observation, Discovery, Creativity, Hand-Eye Coordination, etc.

The series title needs to be fairly short so that it will fit with the name of the activity.

I can’t wait to hear your ideas!
