How did you do yesterday? Did you remember to link up yesterday’s contest submission?
Elmer’s is making it easier to be eco-friendly on Earth Day – and beyond. To coincide with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Elmer’s is inviting parents to get involved in the Elmer’s Glue Crew through the “40 Days of Earth-Friendly Living.” The campaign kicks-off on Earth Day (today) and offers a 40-day calendar of eco-friendly tips and ideas for parents and children to do together.
APRIL 29th – Day #8
Recycle organic waste by creating a compost pile. It will not only reduce landfill waste, but also produces (free!) nutrient rich soil for gardens!
Mom Says: Since we don’t garden, we don’t have a compost pile… maybe I need to think about getting one. But, one thing I do with leftover food is to make leftover soup. I clean out my fridge each week and leftovers go in the freezer in a gallon bucket. When the bucket is full, I make Leftover Soup. Do you have a compost pile? What about some good green tips?Be sure to link it up below!
I will be posting each daily activity as well as a Mck Linky. You should write a blog post, facebook post, Whrrl photo book, YouTube video, Twitter, etc of what you are doing and include it in the linky. At the end of the 40 days, I will randomly choose one person (via Random.org) to win this awesome backpack of Elmer’s goodies
How is that for going green, involving your family, and possibly winning a little something. Plus, you get to leave your links somewhere. Just can’t beat this contest, can you?
Be sure your link is a direct link to the post, tweet, facebook post, etc o each day’s challenge! You may come back each day to add your new daily link.
*LINKY WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL JUNE 1st at MIDNIGHT* THE LINKY’S ON EACH DAILY POST WILL BE THE EXACT SAME ONE*
