About Mollymocassins.com (from their website)

Our purpose is really very simple: to encourage and inspire young children to discover the wonder and amusement of the “every day.” By combining new technologies with old-fashioned wisdom, we hope to capture their imagination and build their curiosity, enabling them to notice and connect with the world surrounding them through “adventure”stories, activities and games. Our lead adventurer is Molly Moccasins, whose positive attitude and clever curiosity takes her on many adventures, sometimes right in her own backyard, and never too far from her everyday reality.

Adding story-related activities and games enhances enthusiasm not only to learn while children play, but also to exercise their innate sense of wonderment. The versatility of mollymoccasins.com allows young adventurers to easily navigate between and within any of the stories, games or activities, while the experience of the site encourages them to create their own stories and games in their everyday lives.

mollymoccasins.com is a unique digital book series and online experience where young children can explore, with or without adult guidance, and learn that every day brings the possibility of a new adventure.

My Thoughts

I like that the stories are a series, and that they play on their own, no having to push the next page button.  The words highlight on the bottom, so if they are a fast reader, they can follow along.  You can choose to turn off the sound or the highlighted words.  It has some nice extras, such as printables, picture puzzles (that you can adjust the level on), connect the numbers, splash coloring, story painting and activity pages.  You can buy each book for 99 cents!  Then you can download them as apps, ebooks and audio books!  Pretty cool!  They aren’t really short stories either!  You can give story gifts to someone else and every book bought gets a book donated to a child in need.  Fantastic!

You can buy one story at a time for 99 cents each (with all of its games) or you can go ALL ACCESS for $29.99 here.

I love puzzles, not sure what it is about them but I almost always have puzzles going somewhere.  It could be a real puzzle spread out on the kitchen table or the folding card table… or is could be a Sudoku or Logic puzzle going on my Kindle or XYBoard.  OR it could be a book of Sudoku, Logic, Fill-It Ins, or Word Find Puzzles!  They keep my brain active. LOL!

Seriously, when I am cooking supper I usually work a puzzle or two, when I am sitting at the Park with the boys, when I am out at the Pool, etc. I think that Puzzle Books are great for keeping the kids’ minds active during the summer months, what about you?

GIVEAWAY: Ultra Lo-Gly Juice Blend Beverages

bottles 350px GIVEAWAY: Ultra Lo Gly Juice Blend Beverages

What better way to keep the kids cool this summer than with low glycemic, low calorie juice beverages?  Aside from floating in a pool, I can’t think of anything. LOL!

I say in the video that I am not sure what it the Glycemic Index actually means, so I looked it up:

Originally developed as a tool to help diabetics manage blood sugar control, the glycemic index has found its way into the mainstream weight loss market.

A measure of the power of foods or beverages (or specifically the carbohydrate in a food or beverage) to raise blood sugar (glucose) levels after being consumed.

The GI value of a food/beverage is determined by obtaining blood samples from ten healthy persons the morning after a fast and a few times after eating the test food..

Each person conducts one trial of test food and three trials of the reference food. After the blood is analyzed, the incremental areas under the blood glucose curves are calculated. The ratio of the test food area to the reference food areas gives the GI value.

Zachary got to taste all the flavors of Lo-Gly by himself!  Click through the to my website to see what he thought!

Send Mom a Bouquet She Won’t Easily Forget!

image thumb Send Mom a Bouquet She Won’t Easily Forget!

I told you about shopping at RedEnvelope for my Mom and Personalized Gifts for my Mother-In-Law, now I get to tell you about my own Mother’s Day gift! LOL!  I am not a flower type girl which I guess is a good thing since my husband hasn’t brought me flowers in more years than I can count.  I am not complaining!  He brings me Chocolate and that really is sooo much better.  However, there really is nothing like sticking your nose in a big bouquet of flowers is there?  It just makes me feel all misty and girly.

So, when given the chance, I ordered myself a BIG vase of flowers! I must say, this is the first time I have ordered from ProFlowers and I am impressed!  Not only do they have so many great mothers day gift ideas, but their prices are amazing!

I brought my boys in to the computer and told them I was choosing myself a Mother’s Day gift and asked if they wanted to give their opinions.  Hmm.. 2 out of three are exactly like their Father “Whatever YOU like Mom!”  Not Zack, my sensitive man who told his little girlfriend the other day that he “respects her decision” about whether he should call her on the phone or not!  Zack hung out with me for quite some time while I flipped through page after page of the great mothers day gift ideas and we picked quite a few that we really liked:

Send Mom a Bouquet She Won’t Easily Forget! Send Mom a Bouquet She Won’t Easily Forget! Send Mom a Bouquet She Won’t Easily Forget! Send Mom a Bouquet She Won’t Easily Forget!

However, we settled on the vase of Tulips that see you at the top of my page.  I was impressed when they came and so happy with the fact that they lasted about a week!

GIVEAWAY: Conagra Foods ReadySetEat #C2S12

Finally, my site is back up and right… or at least I think it is.  If you notice anything off or different, please drop me an email at Kelli@3boysandadog.com so I can jump right on it. The stupid comment password thing that wasn’t working for anyone is gone.  I didn’t put it there, but I did take it away.  Thanks for letting me know about it!

OK, on to the FABULOUS Day #5 giveaway of the Countdown to Summer event here at 3 Boys and a Dog! (This is Saturday’s giveaway and Sunday’s will be coming soon)

Capture thumb GIVEAWAY: Conagra Foods ReadySetEat #C2S12

Conagra has jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon and is celebrating by allowing me to do a food giveaway here at 3 Boys and a Dog.  I could do the whole “you have to follow them on Pinterest” thing, but I don’t want Pinterest to be a commercial thing.  I pin what I like, what I want, what intrigues me, etc and I want my 2000+ Twitter followers doing that, also.

So please feel free to go follow Conagra’s Pinterest boards and my boards, but that is not a requirement to win this giveaway.

Don’t know Conagra?  I didn’t either until I started blogging a million and 1 years ago.  Since I am a product review blogger and working with brands is what I do, it is my business to know who is what and what is whom. LOL!  Do you know Hunts?  What about Healthy Choice, Chef Boyardee, or Orville Redenbacher’s? La Choy, Slim Jim, Crunch -n- Munch… or maybe Marie Callendars?  These are just a few of the brands under the ConAgra Foods umbrella!  Ahh, so NOW you know. LOL!  How would you like to win enough ingredients to make the recipes in Conagra’s ReadySetEat boards?

One Lucky 3 Boys and a Dog reader will win a box of food to make the recipes in ReadySetEat on Pinterest!

REQUIRED:  Visit the ReadySetEat site, look around, and then come back and tell me a recipe YOU want to try!

BONUS #1: Follow @ReadySetEat and @momof3boys3702 on Twitter and RT this contest. The easiest way to retweet is to simply click the green ReTweet on the top right of this post. YOU MAY TWEET ONCE DAILY
