OK so seriously, what is up with all the sick and passing out kids on American Idol? I am shocked at the parents not taking their kids to be checked out when they have hit the ground 3 or 4 times.  Seriously, people! Your child’s welfare is much more important than a singing competition! Get those dehydrated children some Dasani! Geez…

I have said it before and I will say it again… I am not a big fan of Asian food.  However, when I can make it myself and spice it more to my liking, I LOVE it.  I have several stir-fry recipes that I turn to on most of our DYOT (Do your own THANG) nights.  When I got this huge box of Thai Kitchen seasonings, Curry Kits, and Rice I was in heaven.  Seriously, it was so hard to part with some of them so that Minnie could make a few lower calorie recipes, but I did.  I managed.

So, in addition to the recipes over and Southern Mom Cooks (keep looking, there are several going live over the next week or so) Simply Asia / Thai Kitchen is offering up a giveaway!

DAN LESNICK

Dan Lesnick began his career in retail back in 1947 working for a major toy retailer Lionel Leisure / Kiddy City. He Held various positions over his 10 year tenure – from buyer of multiple toy categories to senior buyer.

In the early 80′s, Dan accepted a merchandise manger position at Spencer Gifts Inc.

In 1984, Dan then accepted a position with a Korean Plush company to become director of sales and marketing.

My Thoughts

Seriously, my girls were thrilled when I got this in the mail!  My oldest knew who it was (thanks to Radio Disney and So Random)!  My other girls were just interested in him as a boy doll.  My one-year-old was crying and stopped immediately when I let her hold the doll.  Pretty cool!  I was sad that I didn’t get it on video!  The girls were working hard on chores to earn the doll.  My seven-year-old was excited about the guitar pick too, because she has been begging for one for her guitar!  So, all-in-all a great doll and accessories!

At our house, we have LOTS of games, but we’ve never had Taboo.  Although it is for adults, as long as you screen the cards, the kids can play!  It is really too difficult for Thomas (5), but my other two do alright with it.  Plus, it really helps their vocabulary because they have to think of different words to use.
