GIVEAWAY: Coca-Cola Family Night Fun Pack ($100.00 Value)

image

OK so seriously, what is up with all the sick and passing out kids on American Idol? I am shocked at the parents not taking their kids to be checked out when they have hit the ground 3 or 4 times.  Seriously, people! Your child’s welfare is much more important than a singing competition! Get those dehydrated children some Dasani! Geez…

Anyway!

Yeah, we are big Idol fans here and have been since the very first season when Kelly Clarkson won it all. Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, and Paul McDonald are all from my gorgeous home state of Alabama.

Why am I talking about American Idol? Because:

This winter, as a sponsor of American Idol, Coca-Cola is looking to spice up the colder months with the Coca-Cola Family Night initiative on MCR.com. At MCR.com/family, you can find exciting contests, instant wins, rewards, recipes and games—with many fun American Idol based activities for your family!

To help kick-off Family Night, one lucky 3 Boys and a Dog reader will win a special giveaway inspired by American Idol and the Fun for Family Night games on MCR.com. The prize pack is valued at over $100 and includes:

  • (1) Handheld Camcorder
  • (1) American Idol – The Hits Volume 1 CD – YEAH, BABY!
  • (1) Coca-Cola and Pringles coupon
You know we are big Family Fun night folks around here, because we discuss it all the time.  We have board games, electronic games, cards, and movies running out our wazoo.   How often do you spend time with your kids? I don’t mean getting on to them or making them do homework.  I mean just playing with them.  It is quite amazing how much you can learn about your kids by just taking an hour or so out of your day to just be with them.
To help you make some simple memories with your kids, you could win the above mentioned Family Fun Night Fun Pack!
REQUIRED COMMENT:  Talk to me about your Family Fun Nights.  What you do or what you wish you did!

GIVEAWAY: Thai Kitchen Seasonings and more!

I have said it before and I will say it again… I am not a big fan of Asian food.  However, when I can make it myself and spice it more to my liking, I LOVE it.  I have several stir-fry recipes that I turn to on most of our DYOT (Do your own THANG) nights.  When I got this huge box of Thai Kitchen seasonings, Curry Kits, and Rice I was in heaven.  Seriously, it was so hard to part with some of them so that Minnie could make a few lower calorie recipes, but I did.  I managed.

So, in addition to the recipes over and Southern Mom Cooks (keep looking, there are several going live over the next week or so) Simply Asia / Thai Kitchen is offering up a giveaway!

One lucky 3 Boys and a Dog reader will win a selection of Thai Kitchen goodies!

REQUIRED COMMENT:  Visit Southern Mom Cooks and leave a relevant comment on one of the Thai Kitchen Recipes, then come back here and tell me which on you liked.  Pin and/or Stumble the  recipe post while you are there for bonus entries!

My Thoughts

Seriously, my girls were thrilled when I got this in the mail!  My oldest knew who it was (thanks to Radio Disney and So Random)!  My other girls were just interested in him as a boy doll.  My one-year-old was crying and stopped immediately when I let her hold the doll.  Pretty cool!  I was sad that I didn’t get it on video!  The girls were working hard on chores to earn the doll.  My seven-year-old was excited about the guitar pick too, because she has been begging for one for her guitar!  So, all-in-all a great doll and accessories!

Buy it!

You can buy the Cody Simpson doll for $16.99 here.

Win it!

One lucky winner will win their own Cody Simpson doll!

Giveaway: Taboo Game by Hasbro ($26.99 value)

Taboo-PKG

At our house, we have LOTS of games, but we’ve never had Taboo.  Although it is for adults, as long as you screen the cards, the kids can play!  It is really too difficult for Thomas (5), but my other two do alright with it.  Plus, it really helps their vocabulary because they have to think of different words to use.

This new version has a new game changing die that makes it even more fun (and funny) adding other things you can’t do, like do not speak, or use your hands!

TABOO, everyone’s favorite game of forbidden words, has gotten a makeover in 2011! Now with a new,
sleek look, game changing die and hysterical “Uh-Oh!” buzzer sound, players will frantically try to get their  teammates to guess the winning word without using the Taboo words and phrases on their card. How do you  get your team to say the word “heart throb” without saying “teenage,” “idol,” “star” or “movies”? With more  than 1,000 words for players to try to guess, the “unspeakable” fun can continue for hours.

One lucky 3 Boys and a Dog reader will win their own copy of Taboo ($26.99 value).
