My Thoughts

My kiddos absolutely LOVED this! They took turns using the fabric markers on the Recycle Tote and had a blast! The picture is of my almost 5 year old! My three year old preferred drawing on her own canvas bag (I had some small ones from a craft store) and the fabric markers worked great on it too! Even my toddler was able to take the marker lids off and color on the bag! It was so much fun! I think I’ll have to use them as crafts/goody bags for future birthday parties! My kids even used them to draw on paper and that worked fine too! Now if only my kiddos didn’t use them as regular markers and draw on their clothes…

OfficeRedo A Look at My New Office #OfficeRedo

Whew! Things have been so crazy with my blog with it being up and down and up and down and then finally just moving to a new host! I am still noticing a few things that are wonky, but Kat is on top of them and I feel really good about her. So, now that I have minute to breathe, I want to share a little on how the Office Redo is coming along.

Frist let me say, having a big enough work, clean, and mostly organized work area is the ONLY thing that has kept me sane the past few weeks while I have been fighting blogging issues!! Seriously! My blog would be up for a few minutes and I would have to QUICKLY get a post written and posted before it went down again. Had I not been able to put my fingers instantly on what I needed, I would have been way more behind that I am!

First, I want to tell you about my new wall colors, because I am pretty sure I never actually made it to that. I gave sneak peeks and such, but never really revealed it all.

Here are the colors I ultimately ended up going with. From Glidden: Spring Leaf Green and Walnut Bark. I stuck with white for the baseboards, window sills, door frames, etc so that I wouldn’t have to repaint my doors. They can be such a pain!

I ended up getting 2 pieces like I wanted, but was able to find a much better deal at Staples.

This desk is AMAZING! It has so much room in the hutch to hold my books, big drawers in the desk portions to hold files, notebooks, papers, etc. Plus a HUGE writing space. Have I told you lately that I really love it? (However, this picture was taken right after I set it up. LOL! You should see it now!)

The desk portion that houses my computer is called Ameriwood Tiverton Computer Work center in Expert Plum You can actually find this Work Center with Hutch on Amazon right now, too!) and the regular desk portion is the Ameriwood Tiverton Executive Desk in Expert Plum.

The next morning, she woke up and told me, “I had good dreams because Max kept me safe.” Now, obviously, there is no way for a pillow to protect a child (nor is that what I’m suggesting), but it’s great that Max makes her feel safe.

She’s been taking Max everywhere. Mostly dragging him by the arms or legs since at 36″, he is as tall as her. I am pleased to say that the seams show no signs of wearing down, tearing or stretching. Also, when she spilled milk on Max’s head while trying to give him a sip, I simply removed the pillow and tossed Max in the washer and dryer. He came out looking brand new.
