Giveaway: Just Jen Personalized T-shirts

I am the Queen!!  Yes, it says so on my shirt – “Queen Donna”.  No one needs to know that I had that shirt made for myself (so don’t tell anyone, especially my kids.)  Actually, I could have had it say anything, but being the queen fits me.  Where did I get it?  At Just Jen, of course!   Not only do they have lots of shirt styles to pick from, but they are all “bling-y” too!!  What queen doesn’t need Personalized Queen T-shirtsome sparkly stuff to wear?

The shirt sent to me was such soft material too!  It fit well (sizes run a little bit small, so order a bigger size to be safe.)  I picked out a bright pink for myself, but they have lots of colors & styles to choose from.

These aren’t just any t-shirts either.  They are personalized t-shirts, to fit whatever occasion you might need them for.  Birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, even bridal party t-shirts!  Yes, you can outfit all the members of your bridal party for that girls’ night out before the nuptials, in sparkling, matching shirts!

They also have darling shirts for the younger girls too – teens and little girls.  My daughter is trying to convince me that she needs her own (and I am leaning towards getting her a princess shirt to go with my Queen one.)  She’s a clothes horse though, and she’d want one of each of them!  My poor pocketbook could not handle that at all.

One of you lucky readers though, will win a shirt of your choice from Just Jen!!  The winner can choose any existing or custom Just Jen t-shirt (no hoodies though.)  The hardest part will be picking which ONE you want most!!

REQUIRED ENTRY: Visit the Just Jen site and tell us which shirt you’d like to win.

@TropicanaOJ Trop50 Video Review and Mocktail Recipes #BlogHer #Tropimomma

new flavors

Just in time for summer, Tropicana Trop50 introduces Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade. These new varieties deliver the refreshment of lemonade with 50 percent less sugar and calories, and no artificial sweeteners. To help people feel fabulously refreshing, Trop50 partnered with Giuliana Rancic, from E! and FabFitFun.com fame, to share advice on how to look and feel good this summer. Together, they also are doing what is often done at a lemonade stand … raising money for a good cause.

“I’m always looking for new ways to feel refreshed, especially with my hectic schedule,” said Rancic. “Tropicana Trop50 is a great option for me because each 8-ounce glass squeezes in a full day’s supply of vitamin C and is a good source of the antioxidant vitamin E. I also love what Trop50 is doing to celebrate women supporting women to look good and feel fabulous through Dress for Success Worldwide.”

One 8-ounce glass has an entire day’s worth of Vitamin C!  I know, right?  I tell you, Giuliana seem so fun, I can’t wait to meet her at BlogHer!

So, we all tried the new flavors and I like them, but click through to my site to watch Zack give it his taste test.

Now, run to your local store and grab the ingredients for these refreshing, lower calorie, beverages!

Giveaway: pediped Kids Shoes

Levi just took his first steps a couple weeks ago, and he’s already toddling around across the room. Besides worrying about him getting into everything, now we have a new concern: protecting his feet.

pediped® footwearwas created in 2004 by Angela and Brian Edgeworth. After their first daughter Caroline was born, Angela started to do a lot of thinking about footwear and the kind of shoes that would be best for her child. She wanted a shoe that was comfortable and stylish and that could be worn both indoors and out. Most importantly, she wanted a shoe that was healthy for her daughter’s feet.

I had the opportunity to try out the Sydney Originals with Levi. The Originals are designed for kids just learning how to walk and are made of soft, flexible leather.

The shoes were cute and a nice, bright color. It’s not one I would normally choose, but it’s actually grown on me quite a bit. We took Levi out on the front walk to test them out. Levi wasn’t really sure what to make of having these strange things on his feet, but then he quickly forgot about them and stood up.

After he got tired of standing, he switched to crawling, since at this stage, it’s still faster than trying to walk places.

The shoes were great. They protected the soft bottoms of his feet from the warm concrete. They were easy to take on and off and are super stylish, too. Although they are great for protecting feet outdoors, I don’t recommend using them inside. Since the soles are a nice, smooth, soft leather, they don’t grip the floor well. On carpet or on hardwood, they do slide around. These work much better on rough or uneven surfaces, like out in the yard, on the sidewalk, or at the park.

pediped offers a wide range of styles great for summer. I didn’t think I’d need shoes for Levi this summer since he’s just starting to walk, but I’ve quickly learned about the dangers of hot pavement and sticks, rocks, and other small irritants that can hurt his delicate feet.

They also give back to the community through the pediped Foundation, which has given nearly $1 million dollars over the past 5 years to support children in need.

Giveaway: Milk Nursingwear

Having a “little” baby (little being relative, since my baby is a chunker) and trying to find cute clothes to be able to wear that are also, um, accessible is hard work.  Cue Milk nursingwear…  Da da da dum!

About Milk Nursing wear (from their website)

Milk Nursingwear enables you to nurse discreetly, without showing any skin or needing to wrestle with your clothes.  All of Milk Nursingwear’s styles feature hidden openings, so you can latch your nursling on discreetly and easily, and feed her while remaining totally covered! This helps you relax while feeding, which helps your milk flow more easily, which in turn makes your nursling very happy. This enables you to feel comfortable and confident going out and about with your nursling, and feeding her wherever you are.
Because Milk Nursingwear’s styles look like regular fashionable clothing from the outside, and no one else will be able to tell that you are wearing nursingwear, you can enjoy wearing your Milk Nursingwear long after your nursing days are through. With all the money you are saving on formula, it is worth it to invest in clothing that will make your nursing experience so much easier and more enjoyable.
If you are pumping, the benefit of nursing clothing is that you do not have to lift up and wrinkle your clothing, or stretch it out over the horns of the pump. You simply slip them thru the nursing openings and you are covered, just as you would be if baby was nursing.
We have two different types of nursing openings:
Empire nursing opening (picture on left):
Simply lift up the empire layer and then push down the inner layer to access the breast.
Wrap style nursing opening (picture on right):
Simply move aside the wrap fabric to access openings on either side. There is an underpanel to keep you covered.
The advantage of Milk’s nursing openings is that they are well-placed, and well-sized well to enable you to latch on and nurse easily while remaining covered. Because there is not a double layer all around the front and back, they are not too warm to wear in the summer. Both of our nursing openings work well for nursing in a sling.
When you are breastfeeding while wearing Milk, it is likely that people will just think that your baby is sleeping in your arms.
If you wear your baby in a nursing sling Milk Nursingwear is ideal! The bottom half of your shirt stays put, and your baby nurses easily through the nursing openings. It is convenient and no one will know you are nursing but your baby will be very content to be nursing in the sling. The best nursing openings for breastfeeding in a nursing sling are empire openings and wrap style nursing openings. With these you can easily latch your baby on without too much repositioning. A nursling in a sling is calm and happy!
It may not be possible to wear nursing clothing everyday. A great solution is to carry a nursing cover in your diaper bag, and then you can nurse anywhere discreetly, without wearing a nursing top. If you are wearing a (non-nursing) dress and using a nursing cover, the dress needs to have buttons or some other opening at the top for access.
Milk Nursingwear offers a beautiful selection of nursing covers that are fashion statements! So you will look terrific nursing in our nursing cover ups. We also offer a natural organic cotton nursing cover.
Another solution is to wear a nursing cami under your regular non-nursing clothing. In effect, a nursing cami converts your regular clothing into nursing clothing. A nursing cami is worn under your regular top, and when you are ready to nurse, the cami covers up your sides back and stomach, so you can nurse discreetly.
Belly bands also help keep you covered while breastfeeding. Belly bands can be pulled up to under your breast area to keep your stomach, back and sides covered while you nurse. They look stylish too and are offered in solid bamboo or in prints. Belly bands are great to wear both during pregnancy and post-partum when you are not yet ready to wear your pre-pregnancy clothing in the regular way.

My Thoughts

I got the Everyday dress to try.  I LOVE it!  It is soft, lightweight, and easily accessible to feed my baby.  The color is bright and will work for any season.  Right now I can wear it with a pair of sandals (or boots, like I did) and in the fall I can add a cute jean jacket and some tights and be set for the winter too!  It is a great dress, but accentuated that I still have some baby weight to lose.  That’s my problem, not the dress’s fault!
